[ Nero tol Scaeva had vanished into the Void - the leader of the Scaeva Ironworks. Gone. Even when Doga and Unei had been saved, he'd... vanished. It had been hard - but those left had promised to run the Scaeva Ironworks in his memory. Besides - Nero didn't die that easily.

But G'raha had still sealed himself away, a moon ago. To sleep, or so he'd said. But... the tower hadn't gone to sleep, as it should. It was locked, with messages in Allag written on screens. An error. Without Amon, it would not slumber.

It had been, well, a disaster. And now, on top of dwindled supplies, the broken Voidgate had opened again - light tendrils ripping out, something trying to escape.

[On top of everything else- G'raha doesn't really want to think about dealing with this. But he has to- he needs to look after all of this as much as he can. If he hadn't sealed the Tower- it wouldn't be locked-

He grabs a spare staff, and pushes at the tendrils.]

No- stop that, why are you coming through? We broke that.

[ The beast ripping though, with flesh-like tendrils, seemed to stop for a moment - before lashing at G'raha, unknown voices seeming to echo behind it.

Until a familiar voice cut though it, harshly. ] You don't need to grip to me - I'm the only one coming though here, beasts. [ He's barely noticed the staff pushing on him - until one tendril touched G'raha. And heard his voice. That's when it stills, but isn't... pushed back. ]

[He lashes back at it, stilling when he hears that voice. It's still there, but he's leaning less force into it.]

What… Nero? But- we thought you were- you weren't coming back. [his voice breaks a little. After a moon, even this-

He tightens his grip- thinking, because- it's a Voidgate, still.]

This- this isn't a trick. Is it? [Please… let it not be.]

I needed to come back. [ The voice returns - as the beast began to pull itself out more. And between all the tendrils--

--was a Lalafellian body, as Nero collapsed - exhausted, the gate breaking again. ] Hah... those repairs lasted long enough, huh?

Needed to? [He watches the beast do so- a little fluffed up, but willing to take a chance. It… it's been a while, after all.

He drops the staff, rushing to reach out for Nero- smaller, huh- holding on tightly.] Yes- if it had broken halfway- let's not think about that. [said forcefully.] You were repairing it from the other side?

Couldn't leave the Ironworks. [ Nero grunted, as his tendrils wrapped around G'raha - letting himself cuddle into him. Though they seemed to have retreated mostly, only using a few to keep self stable. Smiling a little. He's not gonna admit he wanted to come back for the people.

For all of them. ] I was. Couldn't get much of myself out, but some lingering energy had allowed me to operate it. Until now - I think it's fully broken now.

Haha… They'd completely fall to wrack and ruin, hm? […right now, he doesn't really care so much about the distinction. He burrows against Nero a little, with a faint sound as the tendrils wrap around him. It's- weird, but fine, and a little comforting.]

Of course… We thought it had been fully closed. I… I am glad you could get back, though… [he stays curled around, tail curling a little. …back to a sealed Tower. Hells.]

Oh, it had been - from that side. There was no stable path - if I'd not changed my body? Why, I'd be trapped there forever. [ He said, smirking a little. He doesn't know the situation here, but... he can feel some taint on G'raha.

Which relaxes him, as a Voidlord. ]

So that's why… Well- I'm glad you could manage.

[He doesn't really know about any taint, but- it feels a bit better. Enough that he can swallow, and speak again.]

Nero- I'm not sure how we're going to get out to the Ironworks.

[ He's still stuck as a Lalafell, but Nero frowns - letting himself lower to the ground. ] ...Is there a problem other then me here?

[He sits, too, grimacing, eyes not meeting Nero's.] It's- I tried to seal the Tower off, and go to sleep- so the rest of Allag's secrets couldn't hurt anyone until they were ready to handle it. Sealing it worked, but the sleep… didn't.

[ ...Oh. At first - hearing G'raha was going to sleep - made Nero seem to twitch and snarl for a moment. But then-- ]

And so now you're stuck here, on the wrong end of Allags' glorious machines. Ever considered jumping out?

[ That'd kill anybody who tried - even with the opening at the top of the tower, nothing is able to enter or exit that way. However, Nero's trying to guage how desperate G'raha is. ]

[He flinches, ears flattening- pulling back.]

I- gods, no. I- went up to the top, but I didn't- I never…

[He makes a little unhappy sound, and pulls his arms over himself.] …when I realised it wasn't working- I wanted to see everyone. To- take whatever they thought I deserved, but- to be part of the team again…

...You're part of the Scaeva Ironworks, G'raha. [ Nero then says, tottling over to sit in front of him, resting his chin on G'rahas' arms. ] I wouldn't have wanted you sleeping, but it would have been good for the savages of the future. [ Nero stops himself for a moment, tsking. He still called them savages. Part of his... charm.

But he sounds a little worried. ] Until we can solve the mystery of why this tower isn't sleeping - and why it won't open again - I'll help you work on it. You've got the blood which can master it. And, once again, I have to study and straggle behind you.

Still…? [He peers up- but he does look a little reassured.] For the people… that's what I hoped. [a little sigh- but it is Nero.]

Thank you- I appreciate that. It's… nice to not be alone in this. [To have someone say that he can do something.] Hah… I haven't made any progress in the last moon. It'd be a huge help to have you working with me.

For one, I doubt Jessie would have filed the paperwork, with me missing. [ Nero knows he vanished, and-- he died, but he's not gonna bring that up. Nero is smiling, even if his teeth are too sharp and his eyes are too bright.

And then, he tilts his head. ] An entire moon - hm. I imagine your anima isn't connected to aetherytes outsite? I wouldn't know - Garlean and all - but there was that one inside here. [ bullshitting stuff which makes sense in lore! ] I imagine there'd be some form of computerised system controlling the freezing of time.

She'd… want to be sure of the process, I think. [it is a little sharp! But G'raha's still just relieved Nero is smiling, and at him, and- he's come back changed, but- it's okay. He's okay with this.]

I… didn't, no. They're useful, but I usually prefer my legs. Though- maybe that aetheryte would be useful- for trying to make sure we could control the system… [he nods, ears drooping- but just for a moment.] There does seem to be- I haven't been able to get control. There's some other sort of lock.

[ Nero thought over this, as one of his tendrils moved towards wrapping around G'raha. They seemed to come from his back, at least... ]

...Hm. Now, I'm not blooded like you, but I could take a look. Before I left Garlemald, I got my role by restoring Allagan relics.

[…it's very strange. He reaches out to touch it, curious- leaning in a bit. He is… a little tired.]

I'd appreciate that. Since you have that experience… I'm sure it'd help. What was it like, woring on them?

[ Nero can't help but use it to cuddle G'raha closer. He's a little tired, as well - he'll need to ask where the two can rest. ]

...Amazing. [ Nero said. ] I enjoyed the ones which made quite the impact - automations, to be exact. Did you know that before Allag fell, there were plans for Hyur-shaped automations? But they were far too power intensive. I found the wreck of one. I couldn't wake them, but the tomestone...

Well, you can imagine why I spend a lot of time decrypting them now.

[There are a few places G'raha's been sleeping, or trying to- not all of them proper beds. But he'll try to drag them to one, if he has to.]

Automatons-! I've seen some in here- they look more geometric, still, but they're still amazing… That would have been even more so!

Yes- being able to make something like that work… There's a lot of possibilities in it.

[ Besides, these tendrils and tentacles are comfy. Squishy. Seems cuddle sleep is gonna be the best... if G'raha brings it up, that is. ]

While Allag, you see, had become reliant on robots - from my studies, Amon wished to make the perfect beings. A little too creepy, if it were up to me. But if a mind that smart could exist...

...Anyway. Ahem. I imagine the tomestones running this tower are a little more complex. And no longer a threat to me - you still have control, yes?

[There's a decent chance of him just dozing of- they are very comfy, it seems.]

To be able to do much of the drudgery, mm. Perfect beings- it is, somewhat. I wonder if they could exist at all…

[he nods, humming a little.] I… that was something I could do. Even if I knew there wasn't likely to be any visitors- well, I couldn't have anyone being threatened.

[ And Nero seems to be relaxing his form, more of his voidy power leaking out. Wrapping G'raha up, to protect him. (He needs to protect him, he needs to protect his people.) ]

We're of the same mind, then. But I doubt we'll be seeking our freedom this day.

[G'raha eyes the power a little- maybe he should be worried, but- honestly, he feels secure in a way he hadn't anticipated, and he leans into Nero a little more. After this long- he's greedy for company.]

Mm. If a threat did come, I'd wake them- but I don't think that'll come today, either. I… I'm tired [he admits, quietly.]
