[The time of day certainly seems to have been caught, leaving Thancred to make a measure as best he can of time’s passage. And to wonder exactly why Lahabrea has brought his here- he’s heard naught of this kind of behaviour from Ascians before... But he’s not been hurt, and this is- kind, after a fashion.]

We do. Tis thoughtful of you to remember. Are they of your own making?

[It’s hard to imagine Lahabrea at the markets.]

...Yes. [ He wouldn't lie, not now. Not about something as minor as this. Soon, this would be his vessel and things would continue as they had to. To rid this Star of the everburning Light. Again, and again. ]

And I brought... liquid, as well. You need that too.

Ah. Well, then- thank you. I appreciate the effort. [He reaches out to take one, taking a cautious bite and chewing. It seems pleasant enough, at least…]

Yes. Ah- would you like to join me? [It's not exactly repayment, but- it's not right to do nothing, either.]

[ It's a little burned, but... other then that, it's good? Lahabrea sits down across from him, frustrated. Rubbing one of his hands under his mask. ] Fine.

[Huh. Maybe he hasn't had that much experience…? But it's still surprising. He cocks his head, offering out the plate to him.] It's rather nice. I didn't realise- I didn't know that you ate.

...I need to eat while in a mortal body. [ He said, as he picked one up. Politely chewing. ] Otherwise, it is a treat.

To maintain it? [Just as they do, themselves? Though obviously Lahabrea can, even now…] Oh- is it? Are thereother such treats?

[lalabrea]

Yes, to maintain it. I don't like possessing corpses. They don't stay warm. [ A little chuckle. ] Or I could have killed you.

Oh, there are. But they're almost embarrassing.

…ah. That does sound rather distressing. I'm… glad you didn't. [but what a thought??]

Well, there are a number of things that aren't completely necessary, but are still nice. Do you need the time?

I know, I know. [ He lets out an angry huff. ]

Yes. That, and I've been almost destroyed once, when I ran a bath in a rather nice bathhouse, in the Far East. [ nibbling at food. ] Called me a ghost, used some of their dispelling magics.

…I'm sorry. [And- he is, a little, really. Even though he genuinely doesn't want it taken over- it'd help with a situation like this, wouldn't it?

He eats a little more, humming.]. Ah. That sounds like a great shame- what little I've heard spoke highly of Far Eastern bathhouses. Dispelling magics…? [interesting. Still-]. Perhaps- what if there was someone with you?

...What. [ He freezes, looking RIGHT at Thancred. ] Hah. Who'd come with me? Igeyorhm hates the warmth of a bath, and Elidibus is a bore.

Is he? [ah- no, he should focus.]. Well- no doubt it would be strange, but- someone mortal, perhaps. Someone who was- well, substantial, and who seemed relaxed in your presence.

...What are you suggesting, Thancred Waters.

[wordsinthesoul]

[He pauses for a moment, to think over what he's said- but mm, this is where what he's said has been leading, isn't it?]

Well. That, perhaps, we two could visit a bathhouse together.

[lalabrea]

[ A pause. A long pause. ]

...If you do this with me, perhaps I can convince you to part from that body. Do you require... to grab clothes? By the Darkness, I have no clue how this works.

…not forever, I think. [But this is a favour, in a way, as well.] Well- it would be nice to have a change of clothes, before we leave- how long have we been here?

[lalabrea]

To the world outside? No time at all. That's one of my powers.

...I shall be dumping you in your... wherever you keep your clothes. Where is it?

Indeed? That's very impressive. [also sort of frightening? but, well.]

My- well, my wardrobe might be a little small, but my room should suffice.

[lalabrea]

[ A little snort. ] Then I'll find it. Your room, then. [ He gets to feel it, though. Lahabrea turning to a mist - no, to pure Aether. Probing - and then teleporting them both, though a dark portal.

Thancreds' room, huh. Lahabrea doesn't bother recreating his form. ] Do not /dare/ alert others to you being here.

[He makes a little startled sound. The portal- it's different. He's not sure whether he likes it- but it's taken them back home, to familiar surroundings.

He thinks about it- is there something he could do that would get the others here quickly? But… he assumes Lahabrea could do something to him, or move them quickly again, and he frowns.]. …very well.

[He can be quiet, of course- reaching out to gather some travel clothes.]

[ Lahabrea watched - and soon, opened another portal. ] ...I'm waiting, Spoken.

I won't be long. [He pauses, eyes darting around the room. Not an alert, exactly, just an indication that something's wrong. Shoes in the wrong order, a scuff, a book caught at a certain angle- it won't take long. And hopefully the others will catch it.]

My apologies. I'm ready now.

[He takes a moment before he steps into the portal, nervous. But he came through fine before.]
