[ Lahabrea wasn't truly okay with this, but Minfilia gently touched Thancreds' chest.
And then, it was as if Thancred was free. His body seemed to dissolve around him, and he was there in a gentle white gown. Similiar to Minfilias'. Not only that, but there was what seemed to be a small bird-esque griffin gripping to him - dark green in colour but cuddled up next to him. The other soul he was holding seemed to vanish.
The physical changes were far too quick. The mental ones? Memories began to flood in, memories from Hydaelyn-- from him. They're his memories. Memories of Zodiark attacking him, screaming about how He was fit to guide the Chosen. The Twelve separating them - huh. One of the Twelve was a dark green bird as well, it seems. But...
There were so many memories. Even a lot from Stars long gone. Ones of each of the Star that Elidibus mentioned.
Thancred was now part of the Word of the Mother. And his sight was fully 'Ascian', though it felt natural. Minfilia was frowning a little, watching him. Would he regret this? ]
[He breathes out, sharply- and then the memories overtake him. So many- things he didn't remember before, but now knows as a part of him. Passing a little too quickly for him to easily slip in now- though he does note that. The Twelve- they're real? And- it's strange, isn't it? That one would look like that- he moves a hand to try to touch the griffin holding onto him now.
And more- it'll take him a while to put all of these into place. But- there's time now- he hopes, at least.
He takes a moment to gather himself- oh, this is strange, and he's not sure. But there's no going back on it now. He looks up at Minfilia.]. That… was rather a lot. Was it the same for you?
[ Minfilia floated around him, watching so gently. That explained her eyes as well, didn't it - they were seeing all that was around them. Their realm, as messengers. The griffin didn't move, but seemed... well, at least seemed alive.
She then held him. They were one with Hydaelyn, but they were still separate beings. ] It was. Everything flowed into me - and then, I only regretted leaving everybody at such a time. But we finally know the truth of Calamities, do we not? The risks hurting Our Star.
[Seeing the world in that different way- the way that suits this purpose, now. He gives the griffin a little scratch- that's encouraging, at least.
Thancred leans into her, putting an arm around her. This is different, but nice.]. …everyone's missed you. I hope they'll be all right. We do. So- we'll look after it, hm?
[ Minfilia seeked answers back then. A purpose to why. And Thancred seeked a purpose. They both had it now. She moved so he could hold her closer. Their forms didn't need to remain this way, but it was nice. ] ...They must think I'm dead. [ She said, quietly. ] That I perished - but this is not death, is it?
But, yes. We gather and give Light to Hydaelyn, so We shall not falter.
[ They're cuddling, so close, and the griffin lets out a huff. In the same tone as Lahabrea. ] We're alive. We're more alive then ever, Thancred. We... are life.
Light brings life, and Dark brings death. [ ...huh. she seems to be thinking. ] It is not Dark we fear, but Zodiark.
It's been some time, but I remember. Tales of ancient times- the origins of which had been lost. But- it sounds familiar. A battle for wills- wasn't it? Could that have been it…?
[ But she can't help but burrow deeper into him as they talked. She missed him. She missed this. ] A battle for... allowing them to make choices for themselves. One did not want them to hurt themselves, and the other felt it was wrong to take the choice away.
[ Lahabrea gave a soft puff of his body, as it grew to a full-sized... tengu? Tengu-esque being, giving a fluff of his feathers. ] From what I know, when there's a surplus of Light, Hydaelyn can use what's known as Time Magic. Can see anything, anywhere. One reason that Elidibus had us cause Rejoinings, you know.
[He gives a surprised sound- but that's something quite incredible.]. Time Magic? I've not learned much of that…. But that would be incredibly useful. To disrupt that sight?
Since he has his own purpose. [he reaches out for Lahabrea.]
Still- we'd need power for that, hm? We don't have such a surplus right now, do we?
God, I missed my talons. [ Lahabrea smirks, floating over a little. Minfilia is still looking to them. Concerned. ] To disrupt it and prevent time from being used. One of your Twelve was a God of Time, weren't they? Just an aspect of Hydaelyn.
...And, no. There's no surplus. Though-- nah, perhaps that was also a lie. [ a beat. ] Elidibus mentioned before I got destroyed - well, he mentioned he had contacted somebody from a Shard covered in Light.
no subject
However, Lahabrea snorts ]. You're killing yourself for Hydaelyn. Maybe this'll prove if I have a soul or not.
no subject
That gets a soft sound out of him.] …yes. You- don't have to be tied into this.
no subject
...I'd be fine with it. [ Lahabrea then replied, gently sighing. ]
no subject
[he shifts back, giving a little smile. Relieved.]. All right. Thank you- for coming along for all of this.

To keep the Light burning. We'll make sure of it.

Light brings life, and Dark brings death. [ ...huh. she seems to be thinking. ] It is not Dark we fear, but Zodiark.
no subject
I wonder if that's the whole of it. [he gives a soft hum.] I- know a little- he was angry, and believing himself to be- fit to guide? What happened…?
no subject
--Wait. Do you recall those novels you'd read me when I was a teenager? [ ?? Old stories, adapted from old myths, Gods fighting over free will. ]
no subject
It's been some time, but I remember. Tales of ancient times- the origins of which had been lost. But- it sounds familiar. A battle for wills- wasn't it? Could that have been it…?

If only We could remember.
no subject
[Like old times, and he shifts to cuddle around her.]. To keep them safe, or let them make their mistakes…?
…could it be possible? I- we saw a little. The memories must be there…
no subject
...I wonder. If We had more Light, we may be able to awaken more of Us. Awaken our memories--
You know. [ Lahabrea then said. ] You could ask me how this works. Even if most of it was lies - some of it might be true.
no subject
Perhaps so!
Oh-? [he reaches out, to try to touch.]. I don't think they work quite that way- but it'd help a lot to know. What do you know about how it works?
no subject
...'course, that second bit might be a lie.
no subject
Since he has his own purpose. [he reaches out for Lahabrea.]
Still- we'd need power for that, hm? We don't have such a surplus right now, do we?

no subject
Did he? That's interesting. Perhaps we might be able to find out if it does exist.
no subject
[ Minfilia bundles into Thancred. ] We should go there. It'd aid Us.
no subject
[He gives a soft sound, wrapping around her.] All right. Which way is it- do We know?
no subject
[ But Minfilia seems to be thinking. ] If it is the First, it is... this way. It is as close to us as the Void.
