[If anyone ever told him he'd be comforting the scion of Bahamut, he would have laughed at them, then knocked them over the head. But here he was, with her leaning against him, petting the unicolt now attached to him.]

As for the Lifestream issue, it wasn't my choice. Another Scion cast Flow, and I was caught up in it. Strange but true, I guess. I don't plan on taking a trip that way for a while if ever.

About 20 minutes later, Haurchefant returned, back in his winged humanoid form - beaming. ]

[Thancred looked up when he landed, watching as the Unicolt scampered over to try and get some attention from the new arrival. He stood and walked over to him too.]

[ As the child rushes forward, Haurchefant leans down - letting their horns touch gently. Then, he looks back to his dragon friend. ]
But, of course. When I was first turned, I was alone and quite frightened. What way is that to live? I don't wish for another to suffer like that.

[Thancred smiles as the unicolt whinnies after their horns touch and then gallops around them in a circle. So full of energy, that little one.]

I understand that. When I first emerged from the lifestream, I was alone with no clue where I was. Then after I changed... I was alone, hated, with still no clue where I was.

I'd rather not got back to that. [Looking at the Elezen again, he contemplated his new friend. Haurchefant had a gentle soul, it seemed, when with how powerful he was.]

[ a bit of a chuckle. ] Though, without it, I'd not have met the Warrior of Light, and helped them seek their airship and Garuda. [ and for that, he is glad. Even if his words seem dripping with anger. That's just him, don't worry. ] I'd take all outcasts, if I could. But you are the most splendid I've seen!

Ishgard seems a strange place. To send someone like you away just due to parentage. [He sighs. He was realizing that he wasn't the biggest fan of this place.

At Haurchefant's last comment, there's a slight blush on his face.]

[ His house was far too important to do more, alas. But he was gentle as he laughed again, tail swishing - playfully trying to gently boop the Unicolt. ] Ah, but it is true! Most who are turned are full dragons - not this blend! Imagine if more were like us! It would be splendid...
[ A pause. ] I wonder what makes us become different? Other then how we were changed... could it happen to others?

I wonder. But... [He pauses. He doesn't want it to happen to anyone else. It wasn't a fun transformation.] Never mind.

What if it could save the dying? Not dead like I, but those who are slowly dyinf and deserve a second chance.

[He turns at that point, walking to the opening of the cavern to look outside, then look down at the claws on his hands.] I don't think very many would enjoy it.

[ As he moves, Haurchefant keeps looking... before coming up behind him, touching their wings together - placing the tips of his to his dear friend. Yes, he was a dear friend already. ]
...It is a cruel fate. But death...

[ His expression tightens, and his voice goes quiet. ]

[He stiffens slightly when he feels their wings touch, only because he's still not used to the extra appendage. Then he relaxes, sighing as he does so.]

Tis true. I don't know that pain. [He knows other horrible things though.]

[ He keeps his wings there, speaking in a whisper. ]
Deafh is like... no longer existing. But I was still alone. Nothing but the thoughts of my family, and what they had lost. I...

...I don't know how to describe it. But I would save anybody from it, if I could. I saved the dearest Adventurer, after all... [ Though, he blames himself for dying. His weak shield arm. And the scars. ] Nothing could be worse.

That's like how it was in the lifestream. Being pulled apart by Flow, then nothing, before waking up staring at the sky... It was strange. Pulled together again by the magic of Flow, and probably the lifestream itself. [He shudders, he doesn't like reliving it.]
