[ Oh. Ohh... he visibly sags as well, looking around - that, and he loved seeing all these adventurers. In other lives, they could be one that he cared for so deeply. And he so wishes he could tell the truth, but who would believe him? Who would... not have him killed? ]

Well - it's the closest city-stage I may visit. Close to where I adventure - and they get in the freshest Greens for my splendid ally!

[ Of course he stays with a Chocobo - though they were only an adolescent, stabled outside the gates. His mood seems to have bounced back - stance strong, as always. ]

[She had loved Haurchefant--perhaps not been in love, but she had called him heart-brother, to those she was closest to, family and friends alike. And when she had lost him, well.

She'd become a summoner because Allag had fascinated her. Perhaps a flash of guilt crosses her face, even as her eyes widen and her voice drops to the tiniest of whispers.]

[ People could be watching. But, then, he lifts his loose-fitting shirt... and there is a scar shaped like a strike of lightning, right where the spear hit him.

A pause, before he lets it drop - and gives a nod. Voice low (he cannot let others hear), he spoke. ]

[ Because he is cursed by the blood of dragons. Even if he has heard some of the truth, your worldview cannot change in a single day. ]

[Ask her if she cares. It should be fairly clear that she doesn't--that scar was healed at least, she can't hurt him now, can she?

The emotional war on her face is clear in its progression. Surprise, of course--she had seen him die there at the Vault. A touch of tears draw to her eyes, making the liminal rings shine more than they do normally. There's a small sound in her throat, as well, before she casts it all aside and butts her head carefully into him--she just barely recalls that she has more horns than most normal Au Ra do. Just in time. You are like to be squeezed to death here, ser! And yet when she speaks again, she's still quiet, though her voice is choked with emotion. Sara understands--or thinks she does.]

And yet I feel it is a gift from the Twelve, or the Mother Crystal herself, that I do find you here. Do you need anything? Can I purchase your supplies for you? [Hydaelyn knew, she never did hurt for gil...]

[ He doesn't reply at first. For he seems to be choking on his words - something he's never felt before. Slightly letting his Elezen ears twitch, he tried to speak--

After all, even if she were so horned... just being able to embrace an Au Ra, those hated by Ishgard, was it not splendid? Letting out a laugh - a mix of relief and sadness - Haurchefant finally found the words. ]

Though, karakul fleece...that is a way to make a living, for certain!

[Yes, Sara liked flaunting what she was to the stuffy old Ishgardians. Then again, there were some who were all right--Haurchefant's family, and Ser Aymeric, to name a few. And the extra horns--resulting from an aetheric mishap in Aurum Vale between her and her younger sister, who shared them--well, that just made it all the more enjoyable, in Sara's mind. Some people deserved to be scandalized.]

If I may? I would be delighted. You have no idea. [She'd kit him out and pay for luncheon and call it a bargain.] You should choose where we go, though.

[ Haurchefant would be the same - he would flaunt himself freely - if he were not worried for his family. What would happen to the Fortemps if he were shown to be a dragon? He had proved himself, he was no simple bastard. But his thoughts are simply on explaining himself to Sara, and having a nice time. One of his hands, however, has moved back to his own single horn - nervous, if only a little. ]

There is a place but a bit away, in the North Shroud, that I've found myself drawn to - if I had the gil. An exclusive cafe, between here and Fallgourd! The oddest thing is that both Ixal and our kind both eat there! I've even spied a Sylph or two - ah, the tribes of this land are so splendidly friendly! Though, it is not open to simply one entering - come, we must go together!

[ That is, when they're not summoning gods. ~~shut up this is totally something that could happen.~~ And, yes, he is basically offering himself for some form of date. Though not a romantic one - honestly, he is dedicated to his wife. And Francel. And-- well, okay, he's just in love with everybody in his own way. ]

[And she's dedicated to her husband--but her attitude with Haurchefant is as if he were a beloved brother who'd been away for a long time--and really, isn't that the truth of it? Fortemps is at least her patron, in Ishgard--and she'd proven herself to them, too, so really, they can deal.]

Really? I'd never heard of it, but...you know me, I don't slow down terribly often. Still, I'd be absolutely delighted!

[Because now, he did have the gil--even if it was really her gil. She only saved it for a rainy day, or if her company or her family needed it. Certainly the latter was true, wasn't it?]

Kokuzo should be waiting for me outside the city gates. [Although she can't help herself or stop from making one small comment.] So when you've not the gil...what do you do, sit outside and smell the cooking?

I'd not expect you to slow - that is not the life of an adventurer, is it?

No, no, I suppose you've the right of it. [She was always much shorter than...everyone, so habit has made her learn how to keep up. Scampering isn't exactly dignified, but with Au Ri males, Elezen, and Roegadyn with long strides, what was Sara to do?]

I see--[since gods knew Lyngsath of the Culinarian's Guild required her to do things like bring him shadow catfish and such, it didn't surprise her that this mysterious establishment used what Haurchefant brought in.]

He had to endure me dying his feathers again recently. I'm just lucky he's a patient bird, Twelve know I'm impatient enough when I ask Jandelaine to work on my hair. [Which she does. A lot.] And that's a pity, because I know how much you loved that bird. Still, you have such skill with raising them...I'm sure this new one will bring you just as much joy. I just hope the knight who inherited him treats your former bird with care.

[She may do some poking around in Ishgard to ensure that...]
