[ Nero had vanished, after being saved from the Crystal Tower.
This, of course, was expected of him. What hadn't been expected was Cid going after him, with barely a word. He'd been seen running out, holding a piece of paper. A few weeks, he had returned, looking frazzled and refusing to talk about what had happened. Or, really, leaving his workshop except to get quite a bit of food and odder and odder supplies.
That is, until he was found just outside, looking faint and void-tainted. His skin seemed to almost be peeling away, with ooze underneath. But even as he was turning to some form of monster, Cid had tried to stop people from entering - he'd been placed to be monitored by Y'shtola and Urianger. Hopefully, they could stop... whatever this tainting was doing.
So, of course, there was only one person that the Scions could turn to - in case it was far too dangerous. Somebody who could enter the workshop and find whatever was being hidden - even if there were whispers of Cid going back to the Garleans.
But that couldn't be true, could it? The workshop was empty of any other people, but a soft groan could be heard from one of the back rooms. ]

Shut up. [ Nero then said, loudly, his voice weak and full of emotion again. ] We are Nero tol Scaeva. [ ...your words betray that. ] And I won't let a child try and give doubt to that.
...I think... I need a drink. [ Nero then said, his eyes closing. ]

… Well- it's better we know- or so I think, at least… Thank you.
[she makes a hum of agreement, but adds]
You should probably eat something, too. [that'll help, at least a bit. hopefully- or maybe she just wants something herself.]

[ h-he called urianger papa ; w ; ]
You've done much, Warrior of Light.
[ Nero rolls his eyes. What is he, a child? But Cid seems to shift a little, moving to grip tighter. ]

[you're too cute and precious, Unuhulkai. She smiles at him- a little awkward- before Cid catches her attention.]
Cid?

[ Cid said, as he watched Nero and the child - the child leading Nero off to the kitchen. ]
But if anybody can handle Nero, it's a Paragon.
...Also, you could use a bath.

[they're good. she sags a bit, closing her eyes for a moment.]
…mm. I didn't expect that, but… it's good.
It's not that bad, is it? [she raises her other arm to sniff anyway. it- yeah it is.]

It's a rather nice room, with a nice tub. (But not too nice. It would usually only fit one person, really.) ]

[well- her clothes will probably need a wash anyway, but it's good of him to do that.
Suits them just fine, then. She goes to start the water.]
What temperature do you like?

[ But he'll let her work, as... he remains on her, moving as she removes bits of clothes, until lingering around her neck, gentleness all though him. ]
no subject
[it's comforting. she hesitates a little at her underclothes, but she trusts him, and they're close. She kicks the mess of clothes into a corner, and reaches out to test the water.]
Hm… Maybe a little warmer? What do you think?

[she lets in a little more water before she turns the taps off and steps in, being careful to avoid disturbing Cid. The water feels good already, and she sinks into it with a grateful sigh, beginning to relax a little.]
S'good… been too long.

Today was rough. [ He says, though, honestly sounding so very apologetic. ]
no subject
Was a mess. [she mutters] …wasn't your fault.

The job of the Warrior of Light is hard. [ too damn hard. His voice sounds very understanding, though. ]
no subject
You know about it, huh?
no subject
[ His fate was sealed, Cid though, but he... accepted it. ] There's no sense dwelling on what we could have done.
no subject
[she nods, slowly.] I know. It's just… it's hard.

Thank you, K'pandolu. You didn't need to take up the mantle here, but you did.

I just- I wanted to help. To protect everyone. [but. she understands what he's getting at.] You're welcome.

You're a better Warrior of Light then me.
no subject
I'm sure you were a good one, though. Do you want to talk out it?

It wasn't for Eorzea. Time was, we called it World A. Me and three others awoke with dulled crystals, and needed to fight four fiends to light them up again, and save the world.
