[ Th'ancred had heard of the Make it Rain event, and had decided... well, he'd look cute in some of those clothes. And the bar there was good - and his daugher had gone, as well.
Perhaps he wanted to simply relax. The Scions were at rest - as far as they could be. They were preparing to see what the Source would bring - since it seemed to be a calm similar to periods of large activity.
But, for now, Th'ancred sat at the edge of the airship there, legs danging over. He could have teleported - he'd never been cursed by Flow - but he still wanted to feel the air against him. Sometimes he wondered if death was even a concept here. No, they'd be there soon, and he could gamble his heart away. (Maybe see if Alisaie would come home. She'd been set up there for days.) ]

It could… It's worth trying! I could see just how warm they are, then… [He rubs his forehead at that.] Did something happen…? They're quite adorable- I know holding onto one seems to work wonders!

[ Moenbryda seems to clear her throat. ] They're a legendary sort of mage, who can draw things and make them real. Like from the faerie-tale of Relm? It isn't just a story. Not many are, really! I mean... I thought Eorzea was just a faerie tale, where I came from.

It's strange to think, though, isn't it? That what we tell as stories could be truth indeed for others…

[ Alphinaud seems a little embarrassed... but nods. ] It might... be interesting.
It... really is. [ Moenbryda admitted, giving a little shrug of her wings, as Alphinaud stroked them both. ]
Back home... a lot of this was impossible. But I imagine things like the technology we have would seem like stories to you, huh? Geeze, and I haven't even tried explaining the internet.

[He leans into the touch a little.]
I suppose so- it's not like what you've seen here, is it? The internet?
no subject
And you don't even need to know the people to check it out. It's amazing - the Archon and Scion of my place come from all over the world. We became buddies over the internet, and ended up meeting up.
no subject
So that makes it easier to get to know new people? And then you met… What was that like?
no subject
...Not gonna lie, though. It's weird seeing you Thancreds walking around - or flying around - so casually.
no subject
…it is? Is… did something happen to yours?
no subject
Nah, I think he was always sick. Usually, he'd end up in his wheelchair or walker. Which, of course, he'd never mentioned before. [ She's so casual, though, and sounding nostalgic. They were good times, okay. ]
no subject
Ah… that must make things tricky. [he huffs a little, shaking his head. Not a surprise in the least.] Of course. But you had good times together?
no subject
[ since this is... before they know urianger dead/being a sky pirate... ]
But we did! All of us - heck, he's got quite the mouth on him. [ But before she can say more, Alphinaud interrupts. ]
I-- don't need to hear about any of that.
Come on, it's not sexual. Not all the time. Besides, his hands were--
M-Midgardsormr!
[ /laughing dragon sounds ]
no subject
[Thancred laughs, grinning at Alphinaud.]
-Busy? But I don't know- what did you expect to hear, Alphinaud?
no subject
[ It still freaks her out a little. ]
I, well - not that! I... you've always been a charmer, but--
no subject
[he props his head up on one hands, grinning.] But?
no subject
[ she trusts him so much!!! ]
I don't like thinking about you doing that. You're more like a brother! [ embarrassed embarrassed ]
no subject
Aw, Alphinaud. [if he was big enough he'd ruffle Alphinaud's hair now.] I'm glad to hear that- I think of you as family, too. I assume you'd prefer to hear tales or songs instead.
no subject
You do?! [ A little pause. ] You didn't... the me you knew, right? Not me. [ that's a little fast isn't it. But he gives a little soft shake of his feathers, warm embers seeming to appear and vanish. ] But-- I would.
no subject
Well- perhaps so. But I'd like to count you as family, too. [he shifts, wings spreading a little.] Are there any you'd prefer to hear?
no subject
...I'm guessing you and-- do you have a brother, Thancred?
[ ...He had to ask, okay. ]
no subject
Wait- so does that mean…?
no subject
[ of course he looked ]
no subject
[…well, and if no one else has mentioned him… Thancred shuffles a little closer.]
no subject
[ Moenbryda speaks up again. ] He's talking about Prastha. He's... gone. I asked Minfilia about it, once I saw his name. Another victim of the Calamity, she said.
no subject
…it's terrible to hear that, though.
