[ Th'ancred had heard of the Make it Rain event, and had decided... well, he'd look cute in some of those clothes. And the bar there was good - and his daugher had gone, as well.
Perhaps he wanted to simply relax. The Scions were at rest - as far as they could be. They were preparing to see what the Source would bring - since it seemed to be a calm similar to periods of large activity.
But, for now, Th'ancred sat at the edge of the airship there, legs danging over. He could have teleported - he'd never been cursed by Flow - but he still wanted to feel the air against him. Sometimes he wondered if death was even a concept here. No, they'd be there soon, and he could gamble his heart away. (Maybe see if Alisaie would come home. She'd been set up there for days.) ]

[ ...At least he decides to become visible, giving a deep smirk, now draped in an Ascian-like coat (he made it himself). Moenbryda nuzzles more into Thancred, anger in her tongue. ]
That's all fine and all, but me and Thancred were having our own talk.
no subject
[…why that. Thancred makes a face, and nuzzles her back.]
It's been going quite well, I thought.
no subject
Not at all. I... [ miscarlet gives a sigh, ] though I was rude earlier, Thancred. But, yes. I have much first-hand experience with gods, and those who claim to be them. With Venat here,
it's like baby sitting a child.

[…does he want to know.]

[ Each word seems to be tinted with anger. He did not want to know. ]
And yet, they linger invisible, observing us of this world. And call me their son, if you can believe that.
no subject
[he shudders a bit. yeah you know he thinks he's done thinking about that right now.]
It seems… strange. Do you?
no subject
[ He could have been out of the loops at that point. But Ivalice kept him alive. As he steps towards the two, Moenbryda becomes more defensive... well, she would if she wasn't trying to scramble off her back in Thancreds' arms. ]
no subject
In the sense that they contributed this much, I would suppose. [but forced? he doesn't like the sound of it.
He moves to try and support her while sitting up a little more.]
… This isn't really the right place to discuss that, though, is it? [they're in moenbryda's space, after all.]
no subject
[ He closes his eyes, standing at a distance where the hissing dragon can't spit flames at him, as she's managed to right herself. Trying to make herself look bigger. ]
I was very sickly, in that body. I could have died, Thancred. Wouldn't that be wonderful?
no subject
[she is very fierce and a good protector. he's fine right here.]
Sickly? [his eyebrows draw together, and he frowns.] I don't know about that. [he's not liking Miscarlet that much, but all the same…]

I was trying to prevent the curse of immortality which follows all who join this mockery of a group. [ Miscarlet says - though he does take a few steps backwards. ] Those who linger here seem not to die, even when they should. It's no fun.
[ ...Except for Nero, he thinks, but who needs to bring him up. ]
no subject
Prevent immortality- like your own? [he just. makes a face.] Isn't it good to have them still here?
no subject
...I want you all to live. But immortality is a curse. It may be fine for the first few lifetimes, but... it's lonely and painful. It's a kindness to prevent it, even if I want you all to live.
no subject
no subject
...I'd not know that. I didn't get to know any other immortals. [ And he has trouble seeing 'friends'. ]
But death is but part of life.
no subject
No? I'd have thoughts there'd be… someone out there.
True. But it's… not time, now.
no subject
[ But Miscarlet then lets out a childish huff. ]
...Nevermind. You'd not care.
no subject
That's what you meant by loops, isn't it? If we didn't… then it would be that much harder.
[… he sighs.]
You're making it harder than it needs to be.
no subject
[ Middybryda is Full Puff right now. ]
Your words are cruel - but I suppose they're true, my Moon. Yes, the cycles and loops are one and the same. I would recall events, and you'd all forget - for only I was given this gift by that boy.
[ For a moment, Moenbryda seems to tilt her head. What boy? ]
no subject
[he reaches out to stroke her, a little. just- wanting that contact.]
Then- could it truly have been helped? Who was this?
no subject
[ As he strokes, Moenbryda lets out a few grumbles, her fluffy scales soft. But Miscarlet closed his eyes, beginning to speak so very disconnected. ]
...My story begins in a realm like yours. The Ascian Nabriales was defeated, and was to fade away. But to him, a boy unconnected to our events appeared, after the Fall of Vana'diel.
Nabriales made a deal with that boy. He would not die. But that boy knows not about life and death, and so made Nabriales live lifes as a story, the story of the Warrior of Light. I still know not why he chose for me to become Urianger.
But once their tale ended - though death or reaching where it ended for so many, I would awaken again, with memories others never experienced.
no subject
So he was… something else, as well. Someone who came from somewhere else… but knew?
And so- the loops. Or- a story that continues on, regardless…
no subject
[ Moenbryda seems to be calming a little, as Miscarlet seems to be looking less and less dangerous, looking pathetic. Of course, she thinks he's faking it. ]
The loops continued, on and on, until I awoke here. Strangely, outside the loops... for Urianger of this realm is how I was, the very first time I awoke. But unlike when it first happened... you all live. He doesn't kill himself and awaken as a Sky Pirate in another world.
no subject
So it came back- to a beginning, of sorts? […so that probably makes it a proper cycle, then. He closes his eyes briefly, thinking.] …Things changed. That must have something to do with it. [there's a shudder at the end- Urianger… but then he blinks.] A sky pirate? That must have been… a surprise.
no subject
[ Good because... does she seem a little bigger? Maybe it's all the fur/feather-like scales poofed up. ]
...that it did. And yet, my role has shifted. I have no purpose, in a realm with this many guardians. [ why is he opening up he doesn't get it - is somebody playing with him ] And it was. Though I do not recall my reaction, at the time... I suppose Ramza wanted me to see his world, at one time. For he is not Eorzean.
