[ Th'ancred had heard of the Make it Rain event, and had decided... well, he'd look cute in some of those clothes. And the bar there was good - and his daugher had gone, as well.
Perhaps he wanted to simply relax. The Scions were at rest - as far as they could be. They were preparing to see what the Source would bring - since it seemed to be a calm similar to periods of large activity.
But, for now, Th'ancred sat at the edge of the airship there, legs danging over. He could have teleported - he'd never been cursed by Flow - but he still wanted to feel the air against him. Sometimes he wondered if death was even a concept here. No, they'd be there soon, and he could gamble his heart away. (Maybe see if Alisaie would come home. She'd been set up there for days.) ]

...A relic of when they were founded, from as much as I've overheard.
[ A beat. ] Why, do you know something of that name?
no subject
The founder's idea, then? I wonder what it meant to him.
Back when I was helping to gather information about Garlemald- but it was from a story of theirs. I'm not sure I remember too many of the details, unfortunately.

...I was talking about this Mammet, wasn't I? [ He says, as it tugs on his feathers. ]
no subject
[he nods, looking at it curiously.] You were. You mentioned the Coils, as well…?

...When they went down there, we found... the Moenbryda of this world. She had followed Louisoix, to the very end. [ Tempered, he implies. ] Her body couldn't be saved, but... [ Well, the Mammet seems to grin a little back at Thancred. ]
no subject
But he directs a smile at Moenbryda.]
So here you are? You seem to be picking up a gift for turning up in unexpected ways.
no subject
...But there seemed to be no reply from the Mammet. ]
She's... tempered to Phoenix. And she would have spent five years controlled - the thrall of a thrall.
If she could be cured, then - anybody could, right?
no subject
Thrall of…?
[but he shakes his head. There's the here and now to think of.]
I'd think so. It's hard to think of a better person to start working with.
no subject
...It's why I wanted to-- make her something. So she'd know I cared about her.
no subject
I think that's very good of you. I'm sure it'll be appreciated.

Alphinix notices, and can't help but stare for a moment, before letting out a soft sound. ] Do you think she'd like a uniform? I-- I miss the Crystal Braves.
no subject
Oh- well, I think that sounds quite nice! Perhaps not exactly in that style, though.
no subject
[ A beat, as the mammet does take his hand. Before trying to push him away. w hoops. Alphinaud moves his long feathery tail behind Thancred. ]
Or be bribed by Ul'dahns.
no subject
[He smiles- before making a surprised sound, shifting back a little, wings out. Thank goodness for Alphinaud's tail- which is surprising, but soft.]
Well- we might have seen that coming. But- ah, we wanted to think more of them, I suppose.

[He's trying to hug as much of Alphinaud as he can, now.]
All the same- you're trying to make something of it, aren't you?

Thancred, I'm a Primal. You know what happens to Primal.
no subject
[fuck. He buries himself in Alphinaud's feathers- it's not enough, but it's something, and maybe he can pretend he doesn't want to cry too much this way.]
It isn't… it's not right.
no subject
Then I think... it's what I deserve.
[ But then, he feels the minion on him crawling over... to hug Thancred. Even as a slave to Alphinaud... well, sometimes it can express emotions better then he can. ]
no subject
[Not when there's so much that should be ahead of him.
He will gladly take that hug, face pressed against the mammet's neck.]
no subject
But Alphinaud seems to be confused, if his tone doesn't say it enough. A small puff of fire comes from him - before a few coughs. ]
I don't want to hurt anybody else, Thancred.
[ But as he talks, there's a small burst of aether... and whoops, it's a familiar little dragon. ]
So... this is what you do to a new friend, huh, Alphie?
no subject
I know. [but- he makes a very small sound of surprise, turning slightly.]
Moenbryda… I'm alright. [just sad. This has dragged up old feelings he hadn't entirely dealt with.]
no subject
He's been mopey since I got here, Thancred. Don't let it get to you. [ But she is sort of... looking. He's shrunk. It wasn't because of her, was it? Alphinaud looks a little ashamed, though. ]
