[ It was one of those times where NOAH was still figuring out their way past the Labyrinth of the Ancients, and Nero was still lingering.

Today, though, he had found himself by the side of G'raha, when G'raha was taking a break. Not that Nero had been watching for it, of course not.

With a soft grunt, he flopped down next to him, holding a few of the tomestones that they'd been tasked to decyther. (Nero, honestly, had been asked not to join in this, but. Nero had waited until Rammbroes wasn't paying attention and stolen these ones.) ]

...You're all struggling with these?

[he doesn't want to know what Amon would make of him ty. so- he's going to try to lead Nero towards the next room, while not looking away too much, still worried.]

Simply a way to bring Allag back to its' former glory. Really, what do they teach your kind now? [ sneer sneer sneer

[he's also rather puffed up, now, looking freaked out now that it's clearly Nero in charge again.]

I don't, either. We should… see if something can be done about that- I don't think it's harmful, exactly, but…

[it's just so unsettling.]

If Amon has been killed, then that only leaves... Emperor Xande.

[ ...There's a few things he can say. There's a few things he could scream about, about his fears. But instead, he shakes his head. ]

I don't think I'd be able to control myself around him. [ Nero admits. ] But when this is over, I'm going to need to trust you to save me from that other me.

The Emperor himself… Well, we knew he had to be here.

[he shivers a little, though. Gods- it's intimidating. He's actually glad to not be out there.]

Mm… They'll be fine, I'm sure. [he stands a little straighter, ears rising.] You- well. I'll do my best not to disappoint! I'd rather you stayed around, you know.

[ Nero crosses his arms, and he can't help but smile a little at G'raha. It's his form of thanks. ]

...But to think. There's another mind inside of me - imagine if we could learn from it. It seems to know more about Allag then us, at points - we could learn so very much. There's still the question of why - but that could be answered quite easily, yes?

[it's good! He returns the smile, tilting his head a little as he thinks.]

You're right- that'd be incredibly useful. Maybe if we could bring it out into something else… another body?

[he nods] I think so. Developing a life outside of Allag… would certainly have helped, wouldn't it?

Of course, there's the risk he could be violent - but we don't need to use another Spoken-like body, if that's the case. [ he's got a nice smirk, thinking about it. But, then, a pause. ]

And we get back to why I'd even have free will.

Right… We could use something smaller, until we're certain how he's going to be.

[he makes an uncertain sound.]

There must have been something… I don't know. Maybe it grew from a seed of thinking to spots where you'd need to make decisions without a superior immediately there?

I did awaken quite alone. My parents kept quite away from me. [ There he goes, calling them parents. ] And I kept being given choices...

[ He sounds so uncertain, though. ]

… Your parents? They sound like good people.

[he gives Nero a shoulderbump.]
