[ It was one of those times where NOAH was still figuring out their way past the Labyrinth of the Ancients, and Nero was still lingering.

Today, though, he had found himself by the side of G'raha, when G'raha was taking a break. Not that Nero had been watching for it, of course not.

With a soft grunt, he flopped down next to him, holding a few of the tomestones that they'd been tasked to decyther. (Nero, honestly, had been asked not to join in this, but. Nero had waited until Rammbroes wasn't paying attention and stolen these ones.) ]

...You're all struggling with these?

[he lets out a rather startled sound- he can feel that with the mattress! What is he made of…]

Haha… Of course! We wouldn't have made such good progress otherwise. I'm glad to hear that.

[he goes quiet, nudging a little closer again.]

…we'll start work on that. I'd like to make sure you have something, too.

[ Nero rolls closer as well, giving a lil soft rumble. His orb is still warm, that ever-so-slight warmth that feels like a hug. ]

We have a long time, raha. We don't need to worry far too much - besides. Who knows how long my mind'll survive? I might be [ a beat, as Nero seems to realise it as he says it ] immortal.

[It enough he half-curls around, rumbling. Give him a few moments, and he'll be really comfortable.]

Mm… I know. But if you'd like it, perhaps we should start sooner rather than later… Then again, there must be a lot of learn… [he lets out a small sound, eyes opening.] Immortal…? Well- we know you survived from Allag until now… It's certainly possible.

...I'd like it sooner. Being able to see all of this, and not touch it? It's frustrating. [ But he's rumbling and he feels relaxed, stilling his movements. ] I hope I'm not immortal. That'll be one thing I'll never be able to figure out.

...Plus, we all saw Lord Xande.

So we should get started. … In the morning. I can only imagine… [he nods, still rumbling.] Well- I have faith in you find an answer.

[he nods- shivering slightly.]

Yes. I don't think… it would be the same, but… who's to say?

[ As he shivers, the orb rolls even closer, for more holds. Nero felt defenseless, but... it was fine? Weird. ]

The morning can't come soon enough. You'll be sleeping, raha?

[ he had to ask. but he's looking at him. ] If you're around if I snap? I trust you.

[he reaches out to cuddle, curling around the orb some.]

It'll be a good one. We'll make it so. [he nods- letting out a little yawn.]

Nero… [he doesn't know how long it'll be for him, but- he's touched.] We'll manage.

[ He would feel scared, if he wasn't curled around like this. That soft purr-like hum began to come from the tower again, and it almost sounded like... his voice was his. ]

...With you living people... you prefer it dark when you sleep. [ Nero states, as the lights begin to turn off. ]

[It sounds a lot nicer than he'd been thinking- and part of him wonders at all of this, still, but. It's nice. He starts purring back, a little harder.]
Oh… Keepers might like it less, but… [another little yawn.] It is easier, I think…

Light or dark, it matters not when you don't rest like that.

But... I think I'll linger, for now.
