[ It was one of those times where NOAH was still figuring out their way past the Labyrinth of the Ancients, and Nero was still lingering.

Today, though, he had found himself by the side of G'raha, when G'raha was taking a break. Not that Nero had been watching for it, of course not.

With a soft grunt, he flopped down next to him, holding a few of the tomestones that they'd been tasked to decyther. (Nero, honestly, had been asked not to join in this, but. Nero had waited until Rammbroes wasn't paying attention and stolen these ones.) ]

...You're all struggling with these?

[ Indeed it did - and it did mention there was a way to switch modes. What the modes were weren't explained, but... there's a button on the back of his neck. ]

[he reaches out to press the button- ears twitching forward as he awaits the results.]

[ As he's pressed, Nero seems to dull for a moment - until the fur seems to become fluffier, covering the robot... and his eyes open again, now slitted like a cat.

And Nero feels weird. (The button was to create a more realistic cat, even if it was less efficient. The button was still there, mind you - G'raha could still feel it.)

His eyes focusing, Nero began to laugh a little - not noticing how he was rumbling more, eyes blinking slowly. ] Did it do anything?

[G'raha watches anxiously for a moment- and then beams, grinning widely.]

You look even fuzzier now! It's more adorable- I didn't know that was likely at all!

[he gives a scritch between the ears.]

[ Oh god - as his ears are scritched, Nero has never felt something like this before. He has new sensations in this body, and. There's a shocked meow as part of his purr, forcing his head back into the hand. ]

I don't knyow what's happened, Rrrraha.

[G'raha purrs harder, letting the scritches continue.]

I don't think you're too different- maybe a little more inclined towards pats? We could find a mirror so you can see.

[ And that's when Nero realises, as he lets out huffy purrs. ]

[He holds Nero out a little, peering at him more closely.] That's incredible…! How do you think it works…?

But for as for how it works, it's most likely a mechanism connected to some kind of timenya-- damnit.

Oh- you think so? Funny, I hadn't thought… But then it makes sense to have a wide range of interests to inform your work.

[ Nero can't help but snort. He wouldn't want G'raha around for that! ]

...We'd need to test. I do know we have alcohol - even if it's... cheaper then one of my rank deserves.

[ There's a pause, and a flick of his tails.

And then, Nero lets out a laugh. ] Why the hells not?!

[G'raha laughs, pleased. Oh, this is going to be fun.]

All right! To the casks, then- what do you want to start with?

Hm. [he's- not sure, actually, but-] I say we start with wine- a fine drink for the both of us!
