pile of creds
[ Th'ancred had heard of the Make it Rain event, and had decided... well, he'd look cute in some of those clothes. And the bar there was good - and his daugher had gone, as well.
Perhaps he wanted to simply relax. The Scions were at rest - as far as they could be. They were preparing to see what the Source would bring - since it seemed to be a calm similar to periods of large activity.
But, for now, Th'ancred sat at the edge of the airship there, legs danging over. He could have teleported - he'd never been cursed by Flow - but he still wanted to feel the air against him. Sometimes he wondered if death was even a concept here. No, they'd be there soon, and he could gamble his heart away. (Maybe see if Alisaie would come home. She'd been set up there for days.) ]

...I think so. I dislike him, but...
Alone. He researches... something.

[…that he kind of wants to barge in on, now. Because-]
It sounds… a little worrying.

[ And then she hands over-- little armour! And a Glamour Prism. (Only one is needed, for hey. Little clothes, right?) ]
If you are? I will care for Minfilia. I have things to talk about with her.
[ But she will be listening. That look says more then her words. ]
no subject
A little… Ah, is he staying elsewhere here, then?
[he's sure they'll be fine together. He gives her a little smile- he's not sure what Alphinaud's doing, of course, but… well. They'll find out.]
no subject
I can take you outside his room, but without Her blessing...
[ Minfilia doesn't know her state, even as weird angel thing. But she needs to remain safe. ]

He goes to knock, wings fluttering.]
Alphinaud?
no subject
But you have his attention. ]

He moves forward, watching Alphinaud.]
…you could use a broom, I think- I'm not sure I ended up with the power to vanish this ash.
no subject
But then... Alphinaud seems to shrink down a little, his glowing feathers dulling. Yes-- he knows. It's pretty dirty. ]
no subject
Well- maybe there's something I can do to help anyway. Right?
no subject
But this, too, passes, and he can see past the feathers... to the terrified bird face, and the archon mark forced onto his forehead. He wears a mask over his face now, to mask his mouth, and piercing eyes. A lot like Alisaies' eyes, really. Help...? You'd want to help him? ]
no subject
More importantly, he can see Alphinaud a lot more clearly now- and the obvious physical changes. Gods- he looks terrified, and Thancred's struck with the urge to reach out and pull him close, get between Alphinaud and the world. …for all the good he'll do at this size, he thinks, and tries to discard the thought, reaching out. (That mark- when- or how…?)]
Well- we're family of sorts, are we not? [he smiles- still looking a little worried, admittedly.] I'd like to be sure you're looking after yourself.
no subject
...You're new.
[ As he talks, though, so very strained - it's clear something is wrong with his mouth. His lips seem slightly... off.
But, after all, he is Phoenix. ]
no subject
Very new. It's been- maybe a week?
Planning to make something?
[Alphinaud does sound odd- he's just going to look concerned, even if it's explainable by primal-ness. Perhaps especially if it's that.]
no subject
Must have been a week. [ He doesn't know how this Thancred was born, but he makes sure to emphasize the word. Oh, what a week he must have had so far. His eyes, however, focus on the small daggers. So he's met Alisaie... ]
I'm not a good craftsman.
no subject
It's been… very interesting. I hadn't thought this much could happen in a week.
Ah. [he tilts his head, and hums. Alisaie… is, obviously, but they clearly don't have the best relationship right now…] So what is it, then?
no subject
Usually it's not... like that.[ He's been in his room for months (eating food left for him - listen, Tataru won't let him starve) - and he's used to a slower pace. But... he has been here for a while.
But he decides to move his wings, so Thancred can see. There's the half-assembled Mammet, who looks up at them blankly - and they're... clothing sketches. Quite good ones, too! He has an eye for design, it seems... ] I want to try.
no subject
I hope so. This level of business… [it's worrying. He sighs, sitting back against Alphinaud- but peers down with interest when Alphinaud moves his wings.] Ohhh, I see! Well- those look as though they'd be very good when they're made. I think you should!
no subject
The prayers and power that Grandfather used turned him to Phoenix. And now, I hold that.
[ ...He gestures his head a little. That mark on his head, then... ]
no subject
[there's a part of the story he hadn't heard- or wanted to work out, and he doesn't sound happy about it. But- things are falling into place somewhat, now. He glances up- reaching for Alphinaud's feathers again.]
And- with Phoenix's powers- that came to you s well…?
no subject
[ There's so much sorrow in his voice. Is it selfish, to want to keep his mind? So much could be gained if he gave up. ]
no subject
[he can't think it should have happened- turning so that he can tuck himself against Alphinaud, a little more. They miss Louisoix, certainly, but he's been gone for some time- and Alphinaud is here.]
How are you doing now?
