[ It was one of those times where NOAH was still figuring out their way past the Labyrinth of the Ancients, and Nero was still lingering.

Today, though, he had found himself by the side of G'raha, when G'raha was taking a break. Not that Nero had been watching for it, of course not.

With a soft grunt, he flopped down next to him, holding a few of the tomestones that they'd been tasked to decyther. (Nero, honestly, had been asked not to join in this, but. Nero had waited until Rammbroes wasn't paying attention and stolen these ones.) ]

[ The Void was said to hold no logic - Unei nods. If anybody could survive twice, it'd be Nero. ]

The covenant protecting us from here only extends to the Cloud of Darkness... but if he can help us, maybe we can all escape!

[ But first... ]

If we cannot... we will share our blood with you, before we go.

[he shifts- a little nervous.]

What does that entail?

It is a spell we hold - both I and...

[ And that's when Doga begins to stir, letting out a small groan as he looks - and then sees G'raha. Quickly, Unei explains - he's come, and they might be able to do their duty with his help. ]

It won't hurt.

Doga!

[he settles to look at the two of them tail curled around himself.]

All right. Is there anything I need to do?

Stay there - it won't take long.

[ They both say, putting their hands to the cat.
And so, they give G'raha their blood - the spell quick, but G'raha would feel it almost instantly. ]

[He closes his eyes- the better to focus on and manage the change within him, tail flicking. Memories of a time and people long gone, and their dearest wish…]

…so it was for hope. To see that light shining out across the land again…

[he reaches for their hands- squeezing gently.]

…we can still manage. [because- the power of Allag is threatening, he can see that. But… he wants to see now, as well- for what might be- and talking to Nero again.]

[ Unei hugged him, while Doga... went to grab a bite to eat, keeping one of his hands on G'raha. ]

...We can all stand for the hope of the Crystal Tower. But, this Voidsent you mentioned - is it truly able to stand up to the call of the Cloud?

[oh. oh, hugs! He can do this- hugging her back, though he frowns.]

I wish I could say for sure. He said he didn't want to get too close…

…we should still try something. Asking won't cost us anything, at least…

Then - are you ready, Unei?

I am. We can eat more when we get out of here.

[ Doga moves to get their weapons, while Unei picks up the bundle of clothes and chips - they slightly rattle, even if void has tainted all of it. ]

[G'raha stands, perking up- when they get out of here, they'll definitely come, then! Things are going to be fine, he's sure.]

We should get something the two of you like, then. Will you be all right like that, Unei?

[he'll help cover her, of course- just worrying a little.]

I will be. Doga can fight better then me.

[ But as they step out, they find the other Nero - the void beast - has seemed to grow, more tendrils surrounding them. More beasts absorbed into it, grinning. ]

...Looks like I'm not going to fight you. Pity.

Good.

[…haha… that's a little intimidating. G'raha grins at him all the same, ears up- an indication that he is somewhat worried.]

Maybe so! But I'm glad we won't have to- we'll be in enough trouble anyway. We still need to do something about the Cloud of Darkness- are you willing to help?

You know that if we fail, you'll all die, right?

[ He actually sounds a little... kind. He looks to Doga and Unei, who are both wary... but he looks so sad, looking over them. But he then seems to give that kind smile. ]

But I'd like to try taking on the Cloud. They left me as a singular Puff.

…well. In a situation like this… that's just to be expected, right?

[that he is a little surprised by. He perks up, though.]

So you'll come to punish them for that?

Besides. I've lost you all before - no skin off my back if you die again. [ He seems so very casual, as he approaches - the clones seeming a bit defensive of the voidbeast around them. ]

Still- all the better if we don't! So we'll succeed. [a little shoulderbump for Doga and Unei.]

Come closer, then. [ He's beginning to escort them, even as the clones look... uneasy.

It's Unei who finally voices her concern. ] This might be a trap.

[G'raha keeps a steady pace- glancing back at Unei when she speaks.]

Perhaps… I think he was genuine in his hurt for losing… ah, those us that he knew. I'm… well, I'm hopeful.

If you trust him, then so shall I. And Doga.

[ It was soon they arrived at the platform where the Cloud of Darkness lingered, with the door to the Voidgate on the top of Tower connected nearby.

Nero faced the Cloud of Darkness - the being floating there, looking to him. While the twins - and the other royal, who they could not strike - were safe from their desires... there was this Puff. They struggled fruitlessly, to continue to survive. How amusing.

And then, they clashed. The whole place seemed to gleam in a bright void pink, both the Cloud and Nero seeming to vanish.

But everywhere was pink - the power of the Void pulsating. ]

[It's intimidating, but he has his bow ready- arrows nocked and ready to land, wherever he can see an opprtunity. Though- the two disappearing puts rather a crimp in that idea. Are they deep within it…? He'd peer further, but- the pulsing makes him want to stand back, looking for a safe place for the three of them to stand.]

This is… more than I imagined.

[ There does seem to be... something in there. But the taint is spreading, coating everything there. Doga put his arms tightly around Unei, snarling upwards. If he could strike... ]

This isn't normal. I've not studied the Void, but this...

[ He had to pull fabric up to cover his mouth. ]

Two beings of the Void fighting like this… Maybe we should have expected it.

[heeee. has a lot less fabric to work with, this is not good- trying to retreat a little, still looking for an opportunity.]

[ And then, there it is. The Cloud is visible, even if they look so very weakened. Thinking, though, Unei tosses G'raha some fabric. Some of the cloth from Neros' undershirt. ]

[It's going to a very good cause! G'raha stops to tie it around his head- better than nothing- before taking a deep breath and aiming. He doesn't know what'll happen, but- he fires.]

[ And once it's fired? The Cloud dissolves. A moment passes, and the taint seems to dissolve a little.

And down steps the Nero, trembling. Looking injured, but grinning. Something felt different about him, as he began to laugh, stuck on the ground. ]
