[ It was one of those times where NOAH was still figuring out their way past the Labyrinth of the Ancients, and Nero was still lingering.

Today, though, he had found himself by the side of G'raha, when G'raha was taking a break. Not that Nero had been watching for it, of course not.

With a soft grunt, he flopped down next to him, holding a few of the tomestones that they'd been tasked to decyther. (Nero, honestly, had been asked not to join in this, but. Nero had waited until Rammbroes wasn't paying attention and stolen these ones.) ]

G'raha! What are you doing here? [ She doesn't drop her weapon, but does sound kind. ]

Looking for you! We'd been hoping to get you all back home. [he didn't really expect her to- probably better, if something does end up happening.]

So, you have a way out of here? That's... [ The two of them still have to stop the Cloud of Darkness, and only they can. Doga was visible now, sleeping - the two had been taking shifts - but only him...? ] We have still been working to annul the covenant, G'raha. But I fear we cannot, without you.

[ listen the void isnt closing in on them there's time this time ]

That's the plan, at least. And- I brought these. [he brings out the supplies, offering them to Unei- with a brief look at Doga. He looks well- just asleep. But… where's Nero…? …maybe in a few moments, as he nods, tail waving.] Because… some of that power was transferred to my family, correct? What can I do?

Yes. G'raha... though Allag technology, you have been implanted with both the Royal Eye and the royal blood. Both me and Doga can share our blood with you, so that you may take control and authority of the Crystal Tower.

And we... shall destroy the bridge between this realm and the Crystal Tower.

[he twitches his ears, and lets out a soft sound.] That's… hah, it's still incredible to think about… And- so we'd have complete control?

[at that, he shifts a little.] Destroy… how? You wouldn't… be trapped, would you?

...Somebody needs to stay behind. It needs to be broken from both sides - both Doga and I have prepared a spell for it.

I believe in you, G'raha.

[he picks up a little- being believed in? that's great! But…]

… We've barely gotten to know each other. Are you sure… isn't there something else?

...I don't know. Before, Nero offered to remain behind, but...

[ ofc he did. (nero wanted to control this realm. even if that other one has some control, but...) ]

Nero did that?

[well- it makes a kind of sense. Which- reminds him, actually! Maybe they could ask that void-Nero to help…? But first-]

…what happened to him?

The Void could not support an Allagan automation. He stopped moving... and his body was destroyed by taint.

[ She shuffles aside, to show there's a pile of Neros' clothes - bundled up. ]

Oh… No power provided here, I suppose. [he shivers a little, tailfur fluffing out a little.] Is that all…? [gods he doesn't want to think it]

...It is. His clothes and-- we saved the chips within him. But... he looked like he'd accepted it.

[ Nero had accepted it - because he knew his purpose. If he was to die? He had protected Allag. ]

Whichever one of us was to return... they would have brought him with them.

Ah… [he shakes his head, but… he can't deny it. At least- they have everything of him that's important, right?] That's… I'm glad he felt that, at least… much as I wish it wasn't needed…

…I'm glad of that, too. Though… [he hesitates, tail flicking.] I was thinking… We found another being- another Nero, apparently? Maybe he could assist us.

[ She tilts her head. ] Another-- Nero? Do you mean another Scaeva?

[ But she is moving backwards in the safety cave, to begin to help wake Doga. After all, there is food... ]

[he shakes his head, following.] From another Eorzea, apparently- reached through the Void. He'd… been strongly affected by it, too.

[ The Void was said to hold no logic - Unei nods. If anybody could survive twice, it'd be Nero. ]

The covenant protecting us from here only extends to the Cloud of Darkness... but if he can help us, maybe we can all escape!

[ But first... ]

If we cannot... we will share our blood with you, before we go.

I hope so. I truly do…

[he shifts- a little nervous.]

What does that entail?

It is a spell we hold - both I and...

[ And that's when Doga begins to stir, letting out a small groan as he looks - and then sees G'raha. Quickly, Unei explains - he's come, and they might be able to do their duty with his help. ]

It won't hurt.

Doga!

[he settles to look at the two of them tail curled around himself.]

All right. Is there anything I need to do?

Stay there - it won't take long.

[ They both say, putting their hands to the cat.
And so, they give G'raha their blood - the spell quick, but G'raha would feel it almost instantly. ]

[He closes his eyes- the better to focus on and manage the change within him, tail flicking. Memories of a time and people long gone, and their dearest wish…]

…so it was for hope. To see that light shining out across the land again…

[he reaches for their hands- squeezing gently.]

…we can still manage. [because- the power of Allag is threatening, he can see that. But… he wants to see now, as well- for what might be- and talking to Nero again.]

[ Unei hugged him, while Doga... went to grab a bite to eat, keeping one of his hands on G'raha. ]

...We can all stand for the hope of the Crystal Tower. But, this Voidsent you mentioned - is it truly able to stand up to the call of the Cloud?

[oh. oh, hugs! He can do this- hugging her back, though he frowns.]

I wish I could say for sure. He said he didn't want to get too close…

…we should still try something. Asking won't cost us anything, at least…

Then - are you ready, Unei?

I am. We can eat more when we get out of here.

[ Doga moves to get their weapons, while Unei picks up the bundle of clothes and chips - they slightly rattle, even if void has tainted all of it. ]
