[ There was always time to rest between times of activity - and Th'ancred needed it. He hadn't expected his brother to return, however - his nervous clicking made that clear.

Oh, but he wasn't just nervously clicking because of Pratsha - the man he'd thought dead. No, though he wouldn't hide it, how could he tell the others what he lost? His magic, however, was so enhanced. He could taste aether in the air, and if he wanted, he was sure he could see it. However, that would drain far too much from him. Though it hurt to not see anymore.

His room, of course, was a mess (or would seem it for a non-Miqo'te). Both him and his brother shared it - it was more of a campsite, for it felt more natural for the shaken Nunh. He was sitting, head to the wall, when his ears twitched. Prastha was there, he could hear it. His footsteps sounded different then others.

Miqo'te ears, after all, were sensitive. Perhaps his clicking was because of that - helping him see what he knew before. ]

...Is everybody out there going okay? [ Th'ancred asked, turning around. ]

[ Urianger looks from the tether, to the gate. The Gate of Light. And raises his staff again. He hasn't used it this much since Louisoix...

Shaking his head, he blasted magic - and it was closed. But this beast was still there, on the other side. Even their pushing wasn't enough. But it did get pushed backwards. ]

...Your tether remains. He'll return. [ Urianger said, but still. This creature was stuck with them now, blinking at them. ] I've not doomed him... I've n-not.

[Prastha stares at where the Gate was, hands clenching and opening. He- he said it, but- He shakes his head, looking to Urianger.]

It… it's fine. It has to be.

[He stoops to poke at the creature, eyeing it warily.] In the meantime… what do we do with this?

[ He has to focus. They can trust in the two of them. But Urianger moves to bar the door, for now. ]

Until we can make certain it is safe, we cannot let it leave this room. [ The creature, however, is beginning to smirk a little. Or is that a smile? ]

[Prastha turns his head towards Urianger- just enough to see- and nods.]

That's a good idea. You said this room was shielded, right? [he frowns back at the creature.] And what are you thinking now, hm?

It is. It was-- a room to practice advanced Summoning, if Alphinaud ever desired to follow my old path. [ The one he'd retired from.

Urianger isn't sure this being is even sentient, but... it smiles more, pointing to the two of them.

And then, it tries to talk. Tries to, because it opens its mouth and strange inhuman voices come out, screeches and chirps. Some of them sound Miqo'te, if only a little, and those sounds are pleased. Happy. ]

Oh… Very handy. […wait.] You retired from that?

[Well- given that, it does seem to understand!

…except they can't understand it, for the most part. Prastha frowns, ears twitching- trying to make some sense of the sounds- and chirps back a greeting, tentatively.]

I didn't understand most of that, but- it sounds happy. Did you understand any of it?

...After Louisoix perished, I could not think of... I decided to hold back. [ He admits, looking to the staff. ] To blend in with Arcanist.

[ But then, the creature talks and Prastha replies - and it seems to frown a little, standing on all fours. Approaching. Urianger, however, shook his head. ] I-- that is unlike any language I've heard. And--

[ oh no it's jumped at Urianger to hold him, with that smirk, that language spilling from its' lips. But there's still pleased chirping back. Not just a greeting, but-- she missed them both? ]

Ah… I see. But… you're still doing well.

[he would start theorising, except- then the creature jumps at Urianger, and Prastha moves to try and grab it- her? He still doesn't understand that language- but the chirping, a little-] It- she's saying she missed us? I- I don't recognise you, I'm sorry.

[ He is - and he'd say more, but. He grabs her, and she doesn't feel like flesh or blood. No, she feels like a flowing river, cold but full of light. And at his reply, she clicks more - trying to speak slower, as she seems to... melt in his arms... ] You really don't?

[ Urianger seems to be curiously reaching as well, though - even if still frightened. ] A being from there-- what kind of being would come from near Hydaelyn? [ (At the mention of Hydaelyn, the strange beast seems to snort in laughter.) ]

[This feels so strange, and Prastha tries to adjust his grip so it feels less like she's about to slip. But- she does feel like water…] I… take it I should, but- no. I'm sorry.

[He won't keep Urianger from reaching, though he does look concerned.] I- suppose we could have imagined a lot of strange things, but… [he tilts his head.] What's funny? Is- are we wrong…?

[ Instead of replying to her own offensce, her own upset that her love and one of her favorite Miqo'te had forgotten her, the beast instead began to laugh more. ] You think Hydaelyns' there? You've got the wrong Crystal.

[ Urianger, alas, cannot understand it - but can see how it seeps, how it seems to glimmer - before it turns solid, wrapping around Prastha with a smile. Seeming to almost move like a snake, more then a... Miqo'te? ] It may be trying to trick us. Ware.

The wrong-? [Prastha clicks, anxiously, tail flicking.] But- that Gate looked like one of Light- I don't understand.

I- I know. I don't want to believe this. [but he's still frightened. He stays very still as the creature wraps around him, ears standing up in alarm, hairs fluffing out a little.] What- are you, exactly?

[ At those words, Urianger pales. ] But if it could be the wrong-- oh no. [ Aaaand that's Urianger beginning to look frightened. Elidibus had once mentioned that their understanding of Light and Dark was wrong... oh no no no. ]

Oh, it was of Light. But though it is our dear Zodiark. Only the finest of Gods for all of us, right?

It's me. Moenbryda. [ The screeching seems to almost be more of a laugh, between the clicks. ] I missed you, Prastha~!

That- it's not good, is it? [Prastha moves closer, making worried sounds.]

But that's- not what Th'ancred thought he was going to. [he's- actually going to start pacing, unhappy.] They- they'll still be fine. Yes? Yes.

Moenbryda-!? But you were- gone. Ween't you? Wasn't she? [he darts a glance at Urianger.]

...They'll be fine. [ Urianger says, though he sounds uncertain. They'll be fine, even if he needs to do... something. Anything! He's such an idiot, but then--!! ]

Moenbryda-- my beloved died. She died, to kill an Ascian. [ Urianger is snarling, as the creatures reaches out to... slide over to holding him, letting out concerned sounds. ] To... prove a theory-- don't dare touch me, beast!

[ And that's when Urianger tries to strike her with his staff, and there's a shift in the beasts demeanor. It just. stops moving, sitting there, off of Prastha and Urianger. Staring at them both, as Urianger trembles, staff drawn. ] Urianger...? He really can't understand, Prastha?

…right. They have to be… [he holds a hand over his head. The link- it's still holding, right?

Prastha starts, taking a step back, and looks to the creature- Moenbryda? But looking- nothing like the way he remembers her. (Except- like moonlight, a little. Huh.)] I- don't think so. Most of what you say sounds strange even to my ears- I can understand your clicks, but the rest is… foreign.

[ As if realising what Prastha is worrying about, Urianger nodded - between heavy breaths. ] It's still there. Strong as it was.

[ But Moenbryda then smiles at him, it's the same smile she had before, even with the twisted other bits. That same shine. ] ?Makes sense - I don't even know how I'm alive, to be honest. But I am - thanks to Zodiark. Kept tellin' me that I didn't need to die... that I'd be put back together.

But - are you two okay? [ Her gaze has turned back to Urianger, who keeps pressed against the door, still keeping it closed - even if it was already locked. He looked so terrified, even the weird beast that claimed to be Moenbryda was worried - she seems to be sliding towards him again. ]

Good. That's good. [he's still clasping his hand there, but he looks reassured.

It does look like her, amongst… all of that. He smiles back, a little hesitantly.] Is that right…? Put back together from- you mean the Lifestream?

Well- it's just- you don't quite look the way you used to. More… strange. [he moves towards her again, still concerned. But- her worry sounds genuine, and that's… reassuring, he thinks.]

You're the ones who look strange! [ Moenbryda then replies, grasping to the frozen Urianger, who has to trust in Prastha. (And does, he's giving a slight bite of his lip but he's not attacking it more.) Seeming to solidify around him a little. ] But-- yeah. He put me back together. Like new.

Hah... maybe you're all still blind? To how things are.

But- he looks as he always has. We- both do. [He reaches out to touch Urianger, too, holding onto him. He's… reasonably sure this is Moenbryda, but- he's still frightened.] That's… impressive. And we're glad to have you, it's just- it's been so long… [more for Urianger than himself, but- still-]

…and what way would that be, then?

Yeah - 'ancred said you were dead, when I asked. A pity - your purrs were always cuter. [ Well, she always did say that - when she flirted with them both. She'd also call him a Tia-lfull. It was horrible. ] And the way you'd always have Alphinaud tailing you - remember when he was learning to walk and would tug on it?

[ ...Yup, if this isn't Moenbryda, it's clearly. Very well studied, as Urianger then lets out a yelp. Something's going on. Even if she seems to ignore that he said they look like they should. ] Hydaelyn abandoned us all, a long time ago. We're meant to just rot away. Like anything made of Darkness.

[He glances away, ears flattening.] I wasn't, but- I know why he did. I- well, I suppose you do have the opportunity to hear them again, after all. [very embarrassing! He nods.] Hard to forget- but children do do that. I remember, myself…

[he looks to Urianger, worried- squeezing his arm a little.] But- this is, these are our lives. That's not… that can't be right.

[ Urianger softly puts his hand to Prastha as well, frowning. ] You can-- you can handle this? I feel strange. [ But if it's Moenbryda, it should be fine...? Right...? He doesn't want to, but his eyes feel heavy, as Moenbryda seems so happy. ]

It is. Light has forsaken us - she gave us no protection, when she could. But Zodiark has been mending these mistakes. He revived those who died in Operation Archon.

[He gives Urianger a gentle squeeze- worrying, but-] I'll do my best. Just- relax for a bit. [he's got to try and look after them.]

That- that shouldn't be so, should it? Mending- and that's one way? Ah- who was revived?

[ At being told to relax, Urianger seemed to smile a little. Yeah. Even with the weird screech-clicks and the odd warmth he's feeling. ]

...Abandoned by Light, Darkness is all that can mend us. Iii... still don't have all the details. Even if I'm a master of Auracite, Zodiark is more then I expected. But still - if he could revive me from nothing, isn't that grand?

[ ...So her form was made by Zodiark, as she purrs and wraps around Urianger more. ]
