Ah! [he grabs on tightly, blinking as he's brought out from under the sheets. It strikes him, once again, how much smaller he's become, and he offers her an awkward smile- wings fluttering a little now.]

… I have no idea how this happened.

[it's pretty worrying, actually.]

[ Minfilia looks from him - thankfully, he's dressed. But her eyes seem to narrow - before she places one of her hands to him. He could... he could probably sit on it really comfortably, she realises.

But the fluttering of his wings have caught her attention, tail swishing a little more. Wait, right, she's meant to be worrying. But he's so cute, she can't help but think. ]

...We can ask Th'ancred - he's often finding out about what chaos happens.

[Thankfully so- it would be very awkward otherwise. He stares at her hand for a moment as he realises the same thing before stepping onto it, wings stretched out for balance. They keep shifting, as he considers.]

A bit of a nose for it, would you say? Well- I'd be glad to drop in on him again, of course! I've been wondering how he's been over the last little while.

Well, he tends to wake up early... [ but her words are distracted, as she stands up. Mostly because her iris are wide, staring at him, tail flicking as if in thought. Luckily, she's walking slowly. ]

I hope he's doing fine as well - he has a... thing about other hims.

[oh dear. He's pretty sure he recognises that look- but she wouldn't, right? He tries to settle, reaching out to hold onto one of her fingers.]

Hm… He didn't seem so troubled me, but… I had the impression he didn't like a lot of what's happened. [he pauses, fluttering again, concerned.] I suppose there's nothing to do but talk to him and see, though.

[ She moves her fingers back so he can grip to them - even if she's wiggling them a little. That's enough for now. ]

He doesn't. If only I could help him more... he's helped me so much.

[ She says, quietly. Soon, they're at his door, though, and knocks. Th'ancred comes to the door - already quite awake, with his coffee.

He looks from Minfilia.

To Thancred.

And then just sighs. ] Come in, then.

[It's good! He wants to hold onto her, however he can.]

Little by little… I'm sure you will.

[ahaha. Thancred raises a hand, grinning awkwardly.]

Thank you. Sorry to intrude on you so early.

[and, well. with shit obviously having happened.]

It's fine. I've been up for a while. [ Th'ancred says, his tongue clicking in frustration.

Unlike Minfilia, his room is rather small - a single (comfortable) bed and a desk. He could have asked for more, but he also sleeps out a lot. Minfilia speaks up, so very softly, masking her fear. ]

He woke up like this, Ancred.

And none of our wards are broken - so it was likely somebody who was already here. Coffee? Tea?

[ He offers, though, looking to the two of them. ]

Ah- well, I'm glad we didn't suddenly wake you.

[he nods- glancing up at Minfilia. Should he stay, or move somewhere between them?]

Well- that keeps the list of people who could have done it low, at least. [a hum.] Coffee, perhaps?

[ Minfilia looks to him, and gives a smile which says 'you can stay, if you want.' But she moves to sit - she's still just awake, and a Miqo'te sleep is different then she's used to. ] I'll take a coffee as well.

[ Th'ancred goes to grab out some cups. Yes, he does have a small kitchen in his room. He is not good without his coffee in the morning. ]

Or it could be leftover from before. Magic doesn't just go away. Trust me - I've had a lot of leftover effects from some of this bulls-- chaos.

[ not gonna swear in front of minfilia. even if she smirks at that, she can tell. ]

[He stays, then- he wants to stay in contact with her.

Easy access- it makes sense!]

Oh- you think? This still seems a bigger adjustment than… healing instead of hurting.

[had he actually told Th'ancred that? He can't remember- but suspects not.

And there's a little bit of a grin- he'd try not to swear either, though he's sure Minfilia knows.]

[ Th'ancred seems to ruffle up a little. ]

You... weren't able to hurt? [ And now... hm. If he wasn't prepping coffee, he'd inspect Thancred more. Because, hmm... he swears he's heard of beings who look like Thancred before.

But, he lets out a sigh. ] I was quite susceptible to magic after my trip in the Void. It's probably different for you. [ Was that... a little bit of jealousy in his voice? ]

[he shakes his head] Not that I was able to tell, at least. I hadn't tried any healing. [for fear that might actually hurt someone, after all.]

It… probably didn't involve the Void, no. [he rises in concern, a little, watching Th'ancred. Though-] I assume that was a while ago now?

...It was around a year ago. [ He sighs, bowing his head - and pouring the hot water into the cups, bringing them out.

...He should have figured out something else for the little one, shouldn't have he. ] You've been informed of the banquet, have you not? The one where Nanamo nearly lost her life. To flee those who thought we poisoned her, Y'shtola and I... we used a forbidden spell. No time to focus when you're being attacked, after all.

But it misfired. We... awoke outside the Waking Sands. As one person. [ a beat. ] It was only later we learned it was the Void we entered, and the ruler of it was not happy. [ He looks to Minfilia, who's giving a little nod. ] Lucky for us, it didn't dare harm Minfilia. [ he doesn't know she's an angel now... ]

[…he'll think of something that isn't swimming in it, it's fine. He probably won't manage the whole cup, though.]

Yes. It's… very worrying. [and he hisses out a breath. Flow- that explains that, then.]

- But safe, at least…? [gods, though.] I can't think… It must have been difficult. [himself and Y'shtola, in the same head- they're good friends, of course. but he thinks they'd have a very poor time that way. He leans a little closer, himself- glancing at her for a moment.] That's good… But that ruler had something to do with what happened?

...We've made up for it, once Nanamo awoke. Worry not - we simply can't step into Ul'dah for our many relations. [ he is joking. ]

[ Minfilia, though, gives Thancred a shake of her head, moving him so he's on the desk - where Thancred placed down his cup. ] Yes, we were quite safe. On the other hand, we had no idea how to separate. For a while... there wasn't a separate Th'ancred and Y'shtola. [ Clearly, he looks quite haunted by it - closing his eyes. When they open again, he lets Thancred look at them quite a bit closer. One of them was brown like normal, but the other - well, the blue now seemed to make sense. The same as hers. ] Whoever ruled the Void gave us mercy - none of us are beasts of it.

[he looks concerned for a moment- but looks up at Minfilia. They're fine, then?] That'd be a shame. There's more than a few places I could think of that might benefit…

[he's happy to stand on the desk- considering the cup for a moment, before he focuses on Th'ancred. There's a little bit of a hiss at that- he'd suspected, but…] Twelve. [at least it serves as explanation for his eyes- and, he supposes, Y'shtola likely has the same.] That's… I'm very glad of that, yes. [he reaches out to pat Th'ancred's hand.] Otherwise… Well. The world would have lost two great friends, I'm certain.

Legally, we're the same person. And besides - some might think I've just hidden my ears~

[ Yup, it's fine, Minfilia nods. But Th'ancred sits at the chair, so he can... not make his alter stare up so much, at his shaggy chin. As his hand is pet, he lets out a little purr. ] We couldn't have that. Besides - who else would we... erm... charm. [ he doesnt wanna say more, else minfilia crack jokes herself. it's embarrassing! But, he gives a pause, going serious again. ] I've found myself picking up her talents afterwards - I've become the conjurer of the Scions.

[ ...Is he Th'ancred? He doesn't know. ] Purrhaps I can see if your aether is harmed.

Not a problem, then, am I right?

[~~the real miracle is no one's changed that yet~~ he grins at the sound. It's good! Especially if it means Th'ancred seems a little happier.] Many and more, I'm sure. [but he makes a curious sound.] You have? I'd like to see… Has it gone the other way?

[he nods, snickering a little- holding out a hand. Probably Th'ancred doesn't need that, exactly, but it's good to show willing.] Go ahead- do you need anything to do that?

...You know, I have seen her training with her weapons. But I thought it was related to not wanting it to happen again. [ He says, as he lets his hand be touched by the other... he should have noticed that. Perhaps he's been drinking too much.

But then, he lets out a small click of his tongue. ] All I'll need to use is one of our Aetherometers - I suppose mine will have to do. [ He'll be able to see the density-- if this is all of him and if it's connected to anything. ] Ready?

That seems just as good a reason, honestly. I know… if that happened… […well. He feels it's obvious he wouldn't want it to happen again either. He stays there for the moment, wanting to be reassuring- there's been so much, and he can't help feeling there's still more…

Though right, they've got something to find out. He nods, taking a step back- yeah his own would definitely be the wrong size now.] Whenever you are.

[ Th'ancred slips it on, over his eyes... and for a few moments, he seemed to focus on the faerie. But he couldn't help but let out a few confused tsks...

...Before walking out of the room, just like that, door open. Minfilia looked from her Th'ancred to her Thancred, a look of confusion on her face. ] ...I think we should stay here.

[He shifts a bit at the tsks, opening his mouth to ask what those are for- and then Th'ancred's off. He looks back at Minfilia, and shrugs.]

Well- I don't see there's much else we could do. Now I'm really wondering…

[and- going to have a try at the coffee. At least that'll keep him from getting more worried for a few moments?]

He's found something to pounce on, that's for sure.

[ catfilia are you punning on him? But she's remaining looking serious, as she stands to drink her own. ] It shall be okay. Whatever he's found, we will talk it though.

As long as he brings it back!

[he grins, all the same.] Mm. We'll find a way to handle it. [which is very reassuring. especially as the cup is still somewhat daunting, and the best idea he's got is trying to position himself near the lip and lean over to get a sip. Probably not his best one, honestly.]
