[ Th'ancred had heard of the Make it Rain event, and had decided... well, he'd look cute in some of those clothes. And the bar there was good - and his daugher had gone, as well.
Perhaps he wanted to simply relax. The Scions were at rest - as far as they could be. They were preparing to see what the Source would bring - since it seemed to be a calm similar to periods of large activity.
But, for now, Th'ancred sat at the edge of the airship there, legs danging over. He could have teleported - he'd never been cursed by Flow - but he still wanted to feel the air against him. Sometimes he wondered if death was even a concept here. No, they'd be there soon, and he could gamble his heart away. (Maybe see if Alisaie would come home. She'd been set up there for days.) ]

...They are. I don't know how-- and Tataru didn't say anything.
[ Of all of them, she expected Tataru to point out a change. She'll be talking with her later. ]
no subject
They're very nice. Though it's beyond strange, that they would just appear like that. And she would have noticed, I'm sure… You didn't feel any different?
no subject
[ There's a beat, as she rests her head against him. ]
Similar events have happened before. For a period, Ser Haurchefant was a Lalafell.
no subject
He wraps his arms around her when she does, with a little hum.]
He was? That- would have given him a rather different perspective. Only for a time, though?
no subject
[ She laughed, a little, as she looked at him so gently. ] But he spoke of discomfort - and clothes not fitting.
Perhaps it's small comfort mine still fit. [ even if. tail feels weird. But she'll begin to walk to her small kitchen. And then say, softly, ] I'm glad nothing else has happened to you overnight...
no subject
It would be a rather large change. He'd have needed rather considerable adjustments.
It's something. [he follows, a step or two behind.] As am I. [he hadn't even thought about that possibility, really.]
no subject
[ she still thinks the gobbie her is Weird ]
...A lot happens here, and all we can do is cope. Sometimes it is simply for a time, but for some, it can be... eternal. [ Cureless - though there's still some hope she has for things to go back to how they used to be. Even if it isn't bad - Moenbryda comes to mind - it's still... well. ]
no subject
[though she doesn't have to say, if she doesn't want to.
He moves forward, to wrap his arms around her again.]
In the end- I hope it will all turn out for the best. We'll manage- one way or another.
no subject
[ like a lot of these alters. ]
Of course, we have a close working relationship - but even my Echo does not help with understanding Gobbiespeak.
[ She can't help but laugh, as she leans back into him - her ears flickering happily. Even if she's nervous and scared, she almost feels happy, as she serves the leftovers - still kept warm by fire crystals. ]
no subject
[something of a shock, really, but it hasn't entirely settled in yet. It probably will when he sees them.]
It should come in time. But it is… curious.
[he can't help nuzzling against her for a moment, before reaching for his plate.]
no subject
[ And so, they can sit across from each other - Minfilia looking so very calm. It's actually quite a fancy dish - something not expected from Urianger, really. ]
I suppose, though - it's not as queer as it could be. Once, I had the oddest of dreams... I sometimes wonder if it were another me.
no subject
It really is- when did Urianger learn to cook anything like this? But it tastes very good. He chews, thoughtful.]
Maybe it was. If people can reach across worlds… why not dreams? That seems a measure easier. What happened? Unless you'd rather not say.
no subject
...She had given her body to Mother. And was angry I had not done the same. 'If I was truly who I say I am, then why do I not do more?'
no subject
[he reaches out, leaning forward as much as he can without getting in the food.]
You do what you can. As much as you can. But that… [he folds his hands over hers, holds them tight.] I'm glad you're here- with us.
no subject
[ She says, softly, as she can feel... her tail twitching. That feels so strange, as she lets her hands be held - a soft hm leaving her lips. She's just realised...! ]
...That is when visions stopped. [ What did she do wrong? ]
no subject
That was-? [Twelve. It couldn't be that Hydaelyn stopped because of that- could it? No- surely not.] … It wasn't anything you did. [that much he's sure of, as much as he can be.]
no subject
...We-- I can't be sure, Thancred.
[ Softly, she shakes her head. ] But-- if I may be selfish? I... would not give my body. [ There are people here which need her - she couldn't just give herself, even if she was desperate to hear Her once more. ]
no subject
[he keeps one hand outstretched, to hold if she wants to.]
Minfilia… I think the rest of us would rather you were selfish in this.
no subject
I promise, then, that I shall be selfish for this matter. But...
[ What if she's lost her blessing?
And then, quite suddenly, she hears a buzzing in her ear - and seems to jump back. Miqo'te hearing, after all, is a lot more sensitive - and it's her Linkpearl. ]
A-a moment. [ She says to Thancred, with a smile - trying to hide the single tear. And, she answers. ]
...Yes, Tataru? ...He's here? Tell him we'll be out anon. And make sure he doesn't-- yes, thank you.
[ Looking back to Thancred, she smiles - they've gotten though enough of breakfast, thankfully. ]
...Miscarlet's here.
no subject
All right. Just a moment- [he probably still needs to get changed-] and we'll go out to meet him.
no subject
[ And Minfilia stands - slipping her hat back on, and walking out.
Of course, out in the hall, Minfilia lets her stance slump while she's alone. This will go fine. Just question him, get Thancred all better, and make sure he doesn't play with them too much. ]
no subject
He steps out, offering Minfilia a smile, and holding out a hand. It'll be fine!]
Well! Shall we?
no subject
[ The walk there is tense but quick.
In her office, a fancy-dressed man stands - garbed in the Gamblers' Coat, dyed pink. His hair long and messy, he looks almost like a dandy Ul'dahn, if Ul'dahn were Elezen.
But he waves casually, grinning and spreading his arms in welcome. As if he's the one in command here. ]
Filia! Cred!
...Miscarlet.
[ She nods to him, and then looks to Thancred to see how he would react. ]
no subject
If Th'ancred hadn't said, Thancred would never have guessed he might've once been Urianger. That- seems incredibly unlikely, even having heard that.
He's got his most polite face on, even as he moves forward- that sure is an entire syllable dropped there. This is very, very bizarre.]
It's good to meet you. I've been hearing quite a bit about you.
no subject
[ Oh dear, he's sneering, and Minfilia is looking cautious - glad his eyes haven't focused on either of them. But he takes another step forward - trying not to drop his expression. After all - the first thing Miscarlet liked to do with people was... make them not trust him.
Who'd care for him, after all? ]
You're one of the earliest who's fallen in. A curiosity, honestly!
