[ Th'ancred had heard of the Make it Rain event, and had decided... well, he'd look cute in some of those clothes. And the bar there was good - and his daugher had gone, as well.
Perhaps he wanted to simply relax. The Scions were at rest - as far as they could be. They were preparing to see what the Source would bring - since it seemed to be a calm similar to periods of large activity.
But, for now, Th'ancred sat at the edge of the airship there, legs danging over. He could have teleported - he'd never been cursed by Flow - but he still wanted to feel the air against him. Sometimes he wondered if death was even a concept here. No, they'd be there soon, and he could gamble his heart away. (Maybe see if Alisaie would come home. She'd been set up there for days.) ]

[-oh. He goes to help, looking impressed, and smiles at her.]
… You really have grown. Is there somewhere we should take him…?
no subject
[ Usually, she wouldn't go into his - after all, everybody deserves their privacy, but there is a knocked out catte and he needs his bed okay. She begins to move - okay, she is struggling a little with gripping him - help her carry him please.
As they walk, though, she decides to add more about Urianger. They trust each other. ] Urianger is... a friendly Ascian. He was born in his current body, but was one of them. He only told us in the last few months - once everything begun to change.
[ But she hopes Thancred can understand how there was a rift, from that. ]
no subject
[he nods, already there to help support Th'ancred, taking the catte's other arm across his shoulder.
His step stutters for a moment as Minfilia adds that.]
Urianger is…? [well. that explains why Urianger would have been so worried about trusting them.] Born in his current body? It sounds as though it should be impossible, but… [there've been so many incredible things today, this is surprising him less than it would have otherwise.]
no subject
After a few more steps, she decides to elaborate: ] It was not always like this. Even when our Warrior of Light returned, it seemed to make sense.
[ and yet... ]
no subject
She was… resurrected, wasn't she? I heard… a little. [he tilts his head towards th'ancred.] What happened?
no subject
Minfilia is trying not to show her own sadness, as she explains. ] After the funeral, however... at a time which should have been celebrated - a man called Miscarlet came to us, showing that she had been restored. However, he refused to speak of his methods. But we all thought it a miracle.
Except for 'ancred, who had already begun to take to the Gold Saucer at most hours. [ A pause. ] He only learned she was his daughter after her passing.
no subject
Miscarlet…? So that was when you met him? [another nod] A true resurrection… it would be.
[he curses, quietly.] That… must have only served to compound the pain.
no subject
But as he might have told you - it was not as simple as a true ressurection. Miscarlet holds the powers of a Deity, and used them to create a child Ascian. The first of many impossible feats we must accept.
[ And they stop outside a simple door, Minfilia nodding ]. In here.
no subject
He sucks in a breath- not as white as when Th'ancred had talked about him, but still paler.] Creating a child like that… But- she seems the same as she did before?
All right. [he nods, and shifts to get the door.] Easy…
no subject
[ And as they enter, the room seems nice and cozy. There's a lot of hidey-holes, but there's a nice warm bed, the blankets already pulled aside. Minfilia expected she'd need to bring him here.
Who was the more mature one here? As Minfilia went to lower him down, her eyes closed. ] I know. At first, even I thought it may be an Ascian ploy. Especially since...
[ She has to admit it. ] After her death, I no longer heard Her voice. Hydaelyn had gone silent.
no subject
[That it happened still seems beyond incredible, but he focuses on helping Minfilia get Th'ancred tucked into bed. He straightens quickly- focusing on Minfilia, now.]
Minfilia… […no. It's been years, by now… He doesn't understand- is it possible for her connection to be severed so? He turns reaching out to pull her into a hug.]
no subject
...she takes it, placing her head right into him. Even if her body feels warmer, like a flame - and if he might have trouble getting his hands around her back. She's softly just resting against him.
...And is that a little purring sound? ]
no subject
no subject
She then softly speaks. ] I don't know why. Even now, Her voice is... another can speak of Her words, but...
[ It's wrong and different, in other words. She's been trying to hold it together. Those who embody Light and Dark un-nerve her, but she has opened their gates to those of other worlds. ]
no subject
They can…? […there's no reason why not, but- he still can't quite grasp the why of it, and it's obviously hurting her. He puts his other arm back around her, nuzzling into her hair.] It was nothing you did, Minfilia. I'm sure of it.
no subject
...It's another you - and another Y'shtola. They hold the Word of the Mother in their hearts. [ But why them... goes unsaid. ] I try my best to remain walking her path, Thancred.
[ She looks over a little, to her 'ancred. ] And yet... this is what we've been dealt.
no subject
[he turns to look at th'ancred as well, still trying to keep her close.] Would that it weren't. We'll still- we'll make the best of it we can.
no subject
[ And then, she whispers, so that only he could hear - even if the other cat was awake. (Which it seemed he was, he had begin to slow blink at them again.) ] I'm scared.
no subject
[Thancred blinks back for a moment, turning back towards Minfilia.] You're allowed to be.
no subject
[ Even now, she tried to keep her composure. Her warmth seemed to build, as she gripped to Thancred. She's had to handle so much, and yet... ] Everybody is counting on me...
no subject
That doesn't mean you can't give yourself a little time. We're here for you, as well, after all. Take a little rest- you'll feel better, I promise.
[…says he.
He glances at Th'ancred- asking permission, of sorts, before he nudges closer to the bed to get them both to sit down.]
no subject
To both of them. But Minfilia sits, trying to stop her crying. ] We should be at rest... the Scions stand strong. We've all been at base - even if...
[ oh lordy does he know about that... ]
...Lyse and-- Yda have been bothering Papalymo for their homeland. [ She doesn't mention that Yda is actually a weird Primal of Ala Mhigan Resistance. No, he doesn't need to know. ] We may be setting out soon.
no subject
hehThat's a little better. Thancred tries to keep an arm around her as they sit, reaching out to Th'ancred for a moment.Th'ancred had mentioned Lyse was going by her own name again, and he nods. It's something of a surprise that it's happening now, but- well, it's been bound to happen sooner or later.]
We're to head east soon, then? I suppose it was about time. This ought to be the best time to rest, then.
no subject
There's reasons for everything, Thancred. Even if they're insane. But Minfilia is smiling a little again, softly and sadly. ] ...Nobody has to die. [ She says.
But, she then nods. ] It truly is. Ishgard is at peace with Dravanian-kind, if you can believe it - and have pledged to assist Eorzea.
no subject
Good.
[…admittedly, he doesn't know all of what has gone down to make it matter as much, but it still is a good thing. His eyebrows rise at that.]
Indeed? That's… unexpected. Not that I'm not glad to hear it- [one less thing to worry about-] but how did this come about?
