[ It was one of those times where NOAH was still figuring out their way past the Labyrinth of the Ancients, and Nero was still lingering.
Today, though, he had found himself by the side of G'raha, when G'raha was taking a break. Not that Nero had been watching for it, of course not.
With a soft grunt, he flopped down next to him, holding a few of the tomestones that they'd been tasked to decyther. (Nero, honestly, had been asked not to join in this, but. Nero had waited until Rammbroes wasn't paying attention and stolen these ones.) ]
...You're all struggling with these?

They could fight as well. It was interesting, watching the way Allagans could battle. But you're quite welcome.
I can't hear myself, G'raha.
no subject
Mm… I almost wish I'd seen- perhaps somewhere that isn't the Void, sometime!
Ah… yes. We haven't… quite got a body for you yet. [he doesn't quite understand why the chips don't work but they don't so there you have it.]
no subject
[ For a moment, there was a G' before the Raha, but it flickered away. But after that, he adds: ]
Right, the whole automation thing, correct?
no subject
Cid rigged up a system, with an Allagan screen- so I'm, ah, seeing your words on that.
Mm. So- he knows now. [which might have been obvious, but… still.]
no subject
[ There's a pause. And he adds: ]
That does make sense, however. Did you know? It was common to test out machines on simulations inside these screens. Sounds quite impossible, but interesting.
no subject
[oh, well. He leans forward, making an interested sound.]
I'd heard a word or two about that, but- well, I hadn't truly seen the how of it! Do you remember some of those?
no subject
No, I don't. But it's strange - I can feel them, even with this damned amnesia. Perhaps there's more out here? But then again, it's not here where many are tested. If we could go to Alyz Lla, I imagine there'd be more of these applications.
...Though I have no clue where that could be. Unless we find some sort of ancient Allagan map of Eorzea.
[ Yes, there's even italics on this screen. ]
no subject
Huh… I'd have thought they'd test at least some here. But- it's worth looking for, at least! They must have kept track of where it is somewhere.
[well, if anyone could do it it'd be Nero.]
no subject
[ A soft beep seemed to come from the screen, though. ]
There is more physical testing done here then other Allagan faculties, it feels like. Are you rested, raha?
no subject
[he makes a soft sound in turn, tail curling.]
Huh… Well, that's good to know. A little- I wanted to be sure you were all right, as well. I'll rest more later.
no subject
[ That sounds... fake. But okay. ] As you can see, I'm quite fine like this. Even if I'm unable to see you. [ More beeps are coming out - Nero is thinking. ]
Are you the only one speaking with me?
no subject
For now, yes- Doga and Unei are still resting, themselves.
no subject
[ ...whoops nero is hearind sounds all around the tower. ]
no subject
no subject
[ But then, Nero seems to turn on... speakers? It's sounds from all over the tower, all areas of it, before he mutes it again. ]
So loud.
no subject
That's… not in this room, most of it. Which means- they must be coming from somewhere… Other parts of the Tower…?
no subject
...raha. Did you or Garlond check how much this screen was connected to?
no subject
[he huffs a little.] I didn't think- why would anyone think they needed to do that?
[
because allag also means overkill.]no subject
no subject
But- essentially- it's all in there…?
[…what have they unleashed.]
no subject
[ There's a slight pause, as Nero is beeping - thinking. The lights flicker a little, with the screen flickering as well. ]
I... am the tower.
no subject
I… well, I suppose so. At least for now- we'll still be looking into finding a body.
no subject
[ But, a thought. ]
...Did you find out more about your red eyes?
no subject
[he lets out a sound- nodding.]
It seems… after the collapse of the Empire, the princess saw fit to grant the power of the Allagan bloodline to one of my ancestors.
no subject
I wonder if that other mind of mine knew? It called you regulus. A damned pity, isn't amnesia?
