[ Th'ancred is the first to move - unsteadily stumbling more, so that he can rest on the table, laying his head down. Maybe he had too much. But damn these Ascian.

But Minfilia remains standing - though, for a flicker of a moment, her body may seem to flicker soft blue flames. ] I've had to learn new skills to assist with our future - our new path.

[…that does not look like a lot of fun, which is a great shame. He moves, to go and knead at Th'ancred's shoulder, to try and help a little.

He looks at her- just catching that, which means he can't help staring for a moment- hopefully it's not too bad.]

Ah- I see. Well- I trust you, of course, but- with these changes, what path are we to be traversing now?

...It may be a lot to take in. But this land--

[ She pauses. If only Urianger wasn't off assisting one of the Warriors of Light, he was more informed then her. She took a deep breath, moving to place a hand to the now-collapsed catte - Th'ancred is still awake, but just looking with a grumpy tail wag. He's fine.

She already wants to apologize for where this will go. ]

Unlike what many of us believed, a land of pure Light is not what is best for Hydaelyn.

[Well, maybe they'll be back soon! …but probably not. At least Th'ancred only looks grumpy now, that's something.]

No…? There was some theory about it, I think, but… [he shakes his head, and looks at her, thoughtful.] Does that have something to do with the way the future could be?

[ She sighs, letting herself begin to stroke the drunk catte who's just purring and flicking his tail. ]

There is an Eorzea out there - somewhere - which is blessed with the most of our Mothers' love and protection. [ the source, though she is not aware of that. she's using information she's gotten from multiple people - ones she trusts. ] If it were to fall, it would not fall to Light or Dark.

[even better! It's rather cute, really.]

Another Eorzea… Well. That hardly seems so strange, now.

[But that is worrying. If not Light nor Dark…]

… Do we have any idea what it might fall to, then? Or- what repurcussions there would be?

There is a force which is the antithesis to all elements - known simply as Null. It is... nothingness - a lack of Light and Dark both. Nothing can survive in a land like that - Spoken nor... Ascian.

[ Her face has grown very serious. ]

For reasons unknown to any of us - though Urianger and holds theories about it - this world has become one it is paramount to prevent falling into Null.

… An absence of existence.

[he moves closer, putting an arm out- enough to touch, not quite hugging.]

Yes, I'd think he would… [he'll have to ask about those later.] So- we go on as we are, trying to- balance things, somehow?

[ Minfilia goes into it - her eyes seeming to widen. She needs to keep one on the drunk cat, but there's a slight smile in her eyes. ]

Exactly. As such, Ascian no longer strike as enemies - and yet, it feels strange.

[ Th'ancred then lets out an angry hiss. ] It's bullshit. We've never seen somebody who's been... Nulled.

[ kitten please be sleepy, but Minfilia sighs. ] People come from other timelines, but I do not know why - though it is not unpleasant. [ she likes having all these thancreds okay ] it's nice Until we can find a way for them to come home, I have opened the doors of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn - since those who come seem to be connected to the adventures of the Warrior of Light.

...Or the other Warriors of Light who have appeared to us.

Beyond strange. [he… doesn't know what to feel about that. He's not sure how he's going to deal with meeting any of them.

He frowns- more thoughtful than anything else.]

If it's an absence- there might not be anything of them to see.

The more friends, the better, eh? [he blinks, eyes widening, and straightens.] …More Warriors of Light? Truly?

Exactly, Thancred. [ There does seem to be hesitation when she says that name - she's quite honestly used to the tribal name of Th'ancred. ] If Null is frightening enough to stop Ascian from their desires to destroy us and teaching Beast Tribes how to bring forth Primals, then it may be nothingness. Then again...

[ She trails off, letting out a soft hm. It's not her place to out Urianger as one of those Ascian, one who might influence these choices. But, she nods - a light in her eyes. ] Yes. Other then Indigo [ - which does get a slight sob from Th'ancred - ] three others have appeared to assist us. Faya, Naltryd and K'pandolu. [ A full party, and three of them are Monks. ]

[It's a little strange to hear, but - he'll manage.]

Either way- I don't think any of us would like to find out that much.

[he reaches out to give Th'ancred a sympathetic shoulderpat- and then halts, hand sort of resting and not really doing much of anything.] K'pandolu is? Is she all right?

[…well, you know, at least it's a good damaging group?]

She is fine and unharmed. Currently, she is under the care of Urianger on an exploration.

[ ...no need to worry him over omega right? right. it's fine nothing is burning. its not like there's a nulled ascian there or anything. Th'ancred seems to try and lean into the hand of his alter, though. ]

Is she your Warrior of Light? [ Because that might be why there's somebody else from there, she's thinking. ]

That's… I'm glad to hear that. […his eyebrows rise a little.] Is she? Well- he's definitely getting out more now, isn't he?

[everything is UNDER CONTROL it's fine. He starts rubbing, a nods.]

She is.

That it is. He used to be a recluse, even when we moved to the Rising Stones. But he's become a lot happier since he began to trust us...

...A lot of us have. It's difficult work, that we do - just as before.

[ But as she's about to say more... Th'ancred just slides off the desk. But Minfilia catches him with a single arm. He's... finally out cold, a little drool coming from his mouth. ]

[another nod, and-] Began? I almost feel hurt. [still- another world.] But that's good to hear- and even if it's hard, we can manage it.

[-oh. He goes to help, looking impressed, and smiles at her.]

… You really have grown. Is there somewhere we should take him…?

Since there's so many who now work here, the Rising Stones has grown to have housing arrangements.

[ Usually, she wouldn't go into his - after all, everybody deserves their privacy, but there is a knocked out catte and he needs his bed okay. She begins to move - okay, she is struggling a little with gripping him - help her carry him please.

As they walk, though, she decides to add more about Urianger. They trust each other. ] Urianger is... a friendly Ascian. He was born in his current body, but was one of them. He only told us in the last few months - once everything begun to change.

[ But she hopes Thancred can understand how there was a rift, from that. ]

Very convenient.

[he nods, already there to help support Th'ancred, taking the catte's other arm across his shoulder.

His step stutters for a moment as Minfilia adds that.]

Urianger is…? [well. that explains why Urianger would have been so worried about trusting them.] Born in his current body? It sounds as though it should be impossible, but… [there've been so many incredible things today, this is surprising him less than it would have otherwise.]

The impossible is only a suggestion. [ She says, almost sounding sad as she looks to the Hyur. She still thinks he looks a little odd, not being a Miqo'te.

After a few more steps, she decides to elaborate: ] It was not always like this. Even when our Warrior of Light returned, it seemed to make sense.

[ and yet... ]

So it seems. […if th'ancred were a little less heavy, he might try to ruffle her hair- there's a look that doesn't much suit her.]

She was… resurrected, wasn't she? I heard… a little. [he tilts his head towards th'ancred.] What happened?

It was while you-- 'ancred was possessed. [ She says, as she moves him a little in her arms. Looks like they're going downstairs. ] The Warrior of Light had gone into the Praetorum, with their Free Company. And she did not leave... alive. It was Ser Haurchefant who told us she had been... [ Killed.

Minfilia is trying not to show her own sadness, as she explains. ] After the funeral, however... at a time which should have been celebrated - a man called Miscarlet came to us, showing that she had been restored. However, he refused to speak of his methods. But we all thought it a miracle.

Except for 'ancred, who had already begun to take to the Gold Saucer at most hours. [ A pause. ] He only learned she was his daughter after her passing.

[Downstairs- that makes sense, since they've had to expand. He nods, frowning, steps more careful as they go down.] …yes. That's… the worst news to bring back.

Miscarlet…? So that was when you met him? [another nod] A true resurrection… it would be.

[he curses, quietly.] That… must have only served to compound the pain.

Even if he's a Nuhn, 'ancred... didn't think he could have children. So it made sense to him that he never had a daughter.

But as he might have told you - it was not as simple as a true ressurection. Miscarlet holds the powers of a Deity, and used them to create a child Ascian. The first of many impossible feats we must accept.

[ And they stop outside a simple door, Minfilia nodding ]. In here.

No…? [his eyebrows rise, but he doesn't ask further after that- it's probably not the right moment, if there's any.

He sucks in a breath- not as white as when Th'ancred had talked about him, but still paler.] Creating a child like that… But- she seems the same as she did before?

All right. [he nods, and shifts to get the door.] Easy…

She does. It's been over a year since then, and she is no false Warrior of Light.

[ And as they enter, the room seems nice and cozy. There's a lot of hidey-holes, but there's a nice warm bed, the blankets already pulled aside. Minfilia expected she'd need to bring him here.

Who was the more mature one here? As Minfilia went to lower him down, her eyes closed. ] I know. At first, even I thought it may be an Ascian ploy. Especially since...

[ She has to admit it. ] After her death, I no longer heard Her voice. Hydaelyn had gone silent.
